Notes - live with it

After noon and you and Carol are about to go out for lunch – Smashburgers today. Back problems earlier today but you did get your dumbbell exercises completed before breakfast. After lunch you two are off to a walk in the park. Later, dude.

It is another beautiful sunny day. Makes winter much more bearable. It is the lack of sun that gets depressing, not the cold. Even back when we had a couple of winters with 25 degrees below zero as long as it was sunny it was a much better day.

I am glad to be working on a new project for a bit, partly because the characters are present day. I am picking up more on Diplomat and I have to remember Kim and Sharon at ten years of age. Both were quite likable and they got me to do things for them that their mothers would have been more conservative about. We took adventures – I remember when we found St. Petersburg, Florida’s Fort DeSota’s north beach – it was quite a ways from Sun City, Center where we stayed. We were always taking car adventures to one place or another. I remember writing a novel for Kim when she was in the seventh grade, but I don’t think she ever read it. The main characters were ants if I remember right. Anyway, it will be a change then I can balance both blogs more satisfactorily.

This has always been a working blog, boy, and that is not going to change. You are a bit apprehensive about the new blog but it will be self-entertaining. – Amorella

         That makes me sound selfish.

How is it selfish to be who you are? Amorella

That makes me sound even more selfish.

Home, and you are going for a walk in the park then over to the Little Miami to sit by the river and keyboard while Carol reads as it is such a pleasant afternoon. Why don’t you continue with the material in book three with the focus on Diplomat and keep it in the new file. That way she will be fresher as a seven-year old. Mentally she can be similar to her biological marsupial-humanoid father, Yermey.

Wow. He was one of the smartest men on the ThreePlanet ssystem. He solved their two thousand year dilemma of the suicide pills – both alike but one killed you painlessly and instantly and the other made you terribly sick, sometimes for months. If you took them both you were painfully sick for several months but you survived the ordeal. Everyone received those two pills. If you didn’t like to live where they lived and couldn’t find another place to live, then you had a personal choice, take one of the pills and hopefully sacrifice yourself for the good of the ThreePlanets community of marsupial-humanoids. This allowed for social peace. Most when confronted with the dilemma decided it was better to adapt and live. Everyone is paid well and have more comforts than humans have. Everyone works for the good of the community and themselves, and total taxes are ten percent a year. The pill, for individual rights, has that built in. People tend to care more about others when it appears so easy to slip away. A police force, more like a national guard, and no army. Here I am getting out of focus. Basically the marsupial-humanoids live like I, in fanciful thought, feel we could live with some modifications, of course. That’s the built in satire because human beings would never stand for it. Life is unfair, they would say, these aliens have three planets and we only have one. They are too communal and downright communistic, we treasure our individual freedom more than we treasure our community. It is our right to do so. Each person can have his own castle if sheorhe works for it. Too much government, etc. Gallows humor on my part.

Indeed so, orndorff. I cannot fault the arguments for almost unlimited individual rights, human beings deserve them. – Amorella

That’s a funny way to state it.

You are at the park and having walked are down in the park’s north end lot sitting in the car and working. Both windows down and the top back. You have jackets on but it is comfortable enough.

I don’t know how Diplomat is going to act. At seven she conjured up this way humans could live better because she thinks of herself as a link between the planetary systems. She is, of course, but she is, in a sense, biologically, two/thirds human and one-third marsupial-humanoid, even though physically she appears basically half marsupial and half human. This is strange, in a way, because that is the set up of the marsupial-humanoids to begin with. Who knows?

Diplomat has figured this out on her own, orndorff, and she does not think like her seven-year old self. Three years is a long time.

Not to me. I think and act just like I did three years ago.

Let’s stay away from you for a while, old man. Every adult is who she or he is. Live with it. Post. - Amorella
