Notes - young and alive

Late afternoon. You have been home for a couple hours and unpacking and running errands as Kim, Paul and the boys will be down tomorrow afternoon, going out with old Miami friends for supper and then settle in for a few days of vacation. Paul graduated last night and earned two residency awards for which he was surprised and is satisfied. You were having second thoughts about being polite rather than honest in your writings, but recognise the world is what it is and surviving in such a place needs a basically centered self-honesty first, then common honesty in dealing with others. Later, old man. – Amorella

Supper at Chipotle/Panera and now a stop at Kroger’s on Tylersville for essentials with the real grocery trip tomorrow. You have some material to go over tonight after more chores getting the house ready for family.

Once we get the beds made and bathrooms cleaned I may be ready for bed. One fun discussion on the way home – we passed a very good looking late 1960’s MG, top down, the fellow was obviously having a lot of fun driving it. Carol said, if we had the money, she wouldn’t mind having a car like that if we had a place to store it in winter and to be used for drives/picnics on pleasant days in spring, fall, summer mornings and/or evenings. I doubt the motorcar will ever happen but I was jauntily delighted that she would even consider it. This is the sound of Carol in the sixties when we first were acquainted. Glad to see that part of her is still here. I flashed on a tan top, the dark British racing green of those days and leather seats and wood knobs where appropriate. Hey, we are still young and alive where it counts most.

A good posting at early dusk. Tomorrow, orndorff, if the nature of the world allows it. Post. - Amorella
