         1058 hours. Officially today is the first day of Autumn. Why don't we capitalize the seasons? I seem to remember doing so in grade school, in the early fifties.

         "We" is a personal pronoun. You say you are a consciousness apart. I am speaking of our human culture.

         Fair enough.

          This does bring up a thought though, the grammar problems as well as social and cultural identity problems in communication. Friendly, Hartolite and Yermey have studied our cultures; we are similar enough to genetically carry a hybrid child in the story. I assume we can share some blood types. Blake, Pyl and Justin are unlikely to have thought much about meeting an alien species like these. How is that going to play out?

         You'll have to wait and see, boy. You have almost completed the work over of the Prologue and Chapter One. You are beginning to form a more complete 'position' on each of these characters.
