Midmorning.
You are sitting near the Honda Performance Showroom looking at a new black
Crosstour V6 while waiting on the free of charge seat belt buckle that has a
new sensor as the old buckle's sensor was operating only occasionally. Carol
has a lunch with her retired Blue Ash friends in Mariemont so you will see her
later.
1036
hours. I am ready to begin Pouch - 6. I imagine we start with Friendly and Hartolite.
No.
We begin with Pyl, as she will become the major character in this story. -
Amorella
What
can I say relating to her? She has a brother and a husband. What can she be
thinking about other than selling the plane or fixing her brother up with
Friendly? I don't want this to turn into a soap opera.
I thought you had some imagination old man.
- Amorella
I
am drawing a blank.
Take a break. Look at the new cars. Then
come back to this. - Amorella
1115
hours. I sat in a couple of new Accords, front and back. The back seat is a
little awkward climbing in but if you sit on the edge and turn it is fine. Very
comfortable seats front and back. Very upgrade interior, clean and no nonsense,
very much German-like styling. I miss my 1985 red GTI, my favorite car next to
my first new car, my 1965 green VW Beetle. Both hold a special place in my
heart.
You suddenly wonder if it is morally wrong
to hold a car or two in your heart, that perhaps it is lustful. If you could
remember the seven deadly you would analytically be running through them to
assess the possible damage. - Amorella
My
thinking here is that cars, any material objects, are not something one can
take with herorhim, at least relative to the stories. Memories are both but one
could become fixated on an object, obsessed with it to the point of not letting
go even though one is dead and gone, so to speak. There is no freedom of
heartansoulanmind in such a situation. In fact, it seems to me this sort of thing
would be a spiritual existential dilemma, imprisoned by one's own desires,
wishes, and eventual lusts.
Sounds like an anxious disembodied spirit, a
ghost, a spirit both here and there at the same time. - Amorella
Grandma
has a story of such a ghost-like spirit. I think she kept herorhim in her
pocket. (A flash image of Great Aunt Theo (on the Doc and Theo Haines farm on
Freeman Road) pulling a gosling out of her sweater pocket as a delightful
surprise for this little boy who was four or five. Ghosts exist in fiction. My
life experience tells me some such disembodiment exist as I have witnessed in
these note. No proof though.
It is enough that such spirits or partial
spirits exist in the Merlyn books, boy. I have an analogy for you. Water
evaporates and sometimes becomes unsettled as in a thundercloud but it does not
return as rain and becomes vapor in the air sometimes together sometimes
scattered far and wide where eventually it dissipates. - Amorella
1633
hours. Completed the Honda errand. Once home I watched a recorded hour of
American Masters on PBS, the focus was the life of Woody Guthrie. Carol arrived
home; forty-five or so minutes worth of chat then a trip to the post office and
Graeter's. Surprise, today is the day the seasonal peppermint chip is
available. We each had a kid's cup with a dollop of hot fudge on top - the
holiday season in Cincinnati has begun.
Now you are sitting in Pine Hills Lake Park
near the earth dam. Carol is reading about the new film on Lincoln in Time,
and you are still wondering what to do in Pouch-6.
I
thought that since I fell into a question about spirits Pyl might be thinking
about the family house now owned by Blake might be unsettled or haunted. And, I did see the 'haunting'
connection tie into Grandma's Story - the idea of a gray ghost in a box. That's
it though. You'd think after all these years of experience I would make
connections faster but I don't have the memory or the mind for it.
Out of your league, huh? - Amorella
Very
much so. You as easily say no as yes when I ask a question so I never know how
it is going to be. Perhaps to some this would appear bothersome but most of the
time it isn't. (1650)
You are home. The local news is on. Carol is
about to fix leftovers for supper. Later, dude. Post. - Amorella
Supper
and two DVRed shows, "Revenge" and "The Mentalist" reviewed. Carol is watching "The
Good Wife". Here is the setting. All are comfortably seated in the plane and
Friendly is starting the engine to taxi. Let's get a picture of the airport
here to put you in the scene. - Amorella
Put
in Bay Airport
2053
hours. I am looking at the photo and comparing it with the poorly focused photo
of the island from Google Earth. Accordingly the airport is at the southeast
edge of the island and the plane will take off from the northwest to the
southwest take a wide turn at Catawba Island, with the Marblehead Lighthouse
just off to the right then Sandusky some ten miles further south and head due east
towards Burke Lakefront Airport.
With
Friendly flying Pyl will be in the copilot's seat. Blake will be in the second
seat behind Friendly and Hartolite will be in the third row seat behind Pyl and
Justin will be in the third row seat behind Blake.
There
will be some chatter about how good the landing was coming in on the airport
from the northeast as there was a southwest breeze.
