Mid-morning. You awoke with some tribulation
during the night. This was caused by a disturbing and disorienting dream. In
the process you began wondering if your experiment was going too far;
especially when you thought of the fictional House on the Strand. No drugs for
you as an experimenter but self-inducing hypnosis is similar. Plus, you were
exuberant on your FB page with the focus on a science article. Here is what you
published.

Most
every week something new in the field of the sciences pops up. To me the pop
ups are like Christmas presents when I was a kid. Just read, no need to unwrap.
rho Trust you find this article enjoyable also. Again, nature at work. What
kinds of things do we have in our heads that so far we are not aware of?
Perhaps evolution just has to take its course. I'm optimistic, but then, why
not, I'm seventy years young. Hey, hope you all had a good Valentine's Day, I
did. ;-) rho

1012 hours. I was concerned that I was
becoming manic and I debated on stopping the experiment because there is no
reason for me to even be on the edge as I feel I was once before in 1988. I saw
another psychiatrist (I forget his name) in the UC area, one who focused on
"esoteric mental problems". He listened and didn't feel I had any
real problems. My concern was that he would ask me to stop teaching. This would
have been terrible of course but I would if he felt I would endanger the
students with my thoughts and ideas (which I kept private to myself at the
time).
This is one of the reasons I insist you have
a blog for your notes. How do you think this would be if only you read what you
wrote? You ended up wondering whether this last night's disorienting dream
should be mentioned in the blog as an ongoing sense of objectivity with the
margins of these notes. This is my response to that concern. - Amorella
I am feeling better today but last
night's thoughts were sobering and bringing up the older issue. Reason keeps me
in check, my own reasoning abilities. I do not want to cross the line. They
have always been in my head even the night I thought I (an agnostic) might be
having a short dance with an Angel-of-G---D. (1025)
Night terrors come to mind, boy. I see first
hand what makes you uncomfortable and I see why. I figuratively see; no, I do
not have eyes so there is no need to ask. You had two images from the dreams
that are coming into mind -- the tortoise and the cat. You were the tortoise in
your shell and I was the cat toying with you. - Amorella
Yes, I was green-gray in color and you
were a black and white English shorthair cat like Jadah. You were pawing at me
to come out of my shell and play. (1049)
You have completed your exercises while
Carol is washing clothes. She is also thinking on tomorrow and coordinating
with Mary Lou for you to pick her up at Olive Garden on Sawmill Road before the
three of you head over to the Paik's in Dublin for Brennan's first birthday
'Korean tradition' celebration at noon. Carol wrapped the present today and it
and the card are heading to the car this afternoon so nothing is forgotten for
the day trip.
We missed this 'celebration' for
Owen's first birthday because Carol was unwell with 'something' that could have
been meningitis, but it was not. In any case we didn't want to chance it so we
stayed home. It should be a lot of fun. Brennan will be dressed up in the same
Korean costume that Owen and Paul were dressed in when they were one year old. (1146)
Check your email as you have not, then we
will move on. - Amorella
This is an odd request; however, I
will check it. I have been meaning to do so.
Perhaps the reason, boy, you have been
meaning to do so and it is causing 'interference'. - Amorella
1225 hours. Very cool. A really large
meteorite crashed, at least larger than normal. The News said it was a once in
a thousand years event. I'm glad no one was killed. When I first saw the report
I thought about the asteroid but it doesn't pass the earth until this afternoon
and that's over Southeast Asia if I remember right.
"Very cool." It was not entertainment
for those close by. - Amorella
No. I don't know why I said that. I
know better. Sorry.
Sorry because you are embarrassed? -
Amorella
Both. I am sorry because of both.
Late lunch at Panera/Chipotle then
home. Doug sent you a great site on the Russian meteor. Here it is: Amorella

Meteorite in
Russia: all videos in one place
Today
I happen to
live 300kms away from Chelyabinsk, where a meteorite exploded earlier today.
Here are all the videos I could find featuring the meteorite explosion.

1544 hours. These a great videos of the event. Thank
you, John Douglas Goss and Alexander Zaytsev for sharing. rho

1947
hours. It has been an interesting day -- a meteorite and an asteroid in the
same 24 hours. I am glad no one was killed. Watching the videos on the event
from Russia was interesting -- human behavior is also interesting. If it had
hit major cities like Moscow or St. Petersburg it would have been terrible. No
one could have been forewarned; no one can be forewarned of such an event. Our
planet has been fortunate the last few thousand years. We have been fortunate.
The planet has been hit, probably several times a century with such a similar
sized meteor but over the oceans or very desolate areas. I'm glad I have moved
on from using cosmic-like disasters in the Merlyn books, except for a couple of
Grandma's Stories along the way.
How can you say such a thing, you had all
but a half dozen people die in Braided Dreams? - Amorella
I didn't think about that. It was an
alternate Earth though. No, one of the Earth's was the alternate one. I don't
remember which. It doesn't make any difference. I am so glad we are doing a trilogy upgrade. Five years ago was a different world. I may work on Pouch 12 or I may
just go to bed early. We have the drive to Dublin in the morning. (2010)
It's up to you orndorff. Later or tomorrow
night, dude. - Amorella
