Notes - classroom of the mind / things to do / things done

0738 hours. I know where such imagination as yesterday's come from. Being turned inside out is good drama at least in terms of one of my favorites, Moby Dick. Old Captain Ahab, one of fiction's most wonderful characters. I swallowed such characters whole from time to time to present them 'life-like' in the classroom. Not acting as in Holbrook's presentation of Mark Twain, but as the inner heartansoulanmind of the character for just a moment, out of the mouth as a question such as: 'what was Ahab really thinking when speaking to Starbuck?' And, from here, to what was really more important in my mind, 'what was Melville really thinking to write in a letter to Hawthorne: "I have written a wicked book and feel as spotless as the lamb." This is an example of the intrigue, the humanity that drives me to read and to understand more of our primatial species. I invent things to better discover what I am and thus what our species is to have those who would call his name Sophocles or Shakespeare or Di Vinci. This was my inner self, preparing for the classroom, the stage, the boards; my life for thirty-seven wonderful years. This treading in the twilight of reason, imagination and theatre allows me to soldier on at least with fingers on the keyboard in contentment and joy through my retirement years. This is my explanation of the thoughts that rolled in yesterday's blog. - rho

This heartansoulanmind is as written, verified, as it were, by imagination's source. Leave it as it is, orndorff. No second guessing or rationalizing. Post. - Amorella

Mid-afternoon. You and Carol drove the backcountry roads up to Lebanon (Warren Count seat) for a Dairy Queen then country roads with additional farmland back to Chipotle/Panera for a late lunch. You are waiting for Carol at Kroger's since you requested chili for the next homemade meal. Tomorrow it is time to mow once again and Tuesday you are up to Delaware for the nigh for meeting Kim on Wednesday morning. Today, when time permits, we can complete Brothers 18 and begin Grandma 17 which, once completed we can switch with the present Grandma 17, which is, first of all in numeral error as it should be Grandma 18. By Tuesday perhaps we can be ready to work on Dead 19.  - Amorella

Sounds like a good plan Amorella. It reads well on paper. Surely we'll be done with the book by the end of July. That would give me five months to work on GMG, Volume II. Maybe I'll just put Volume I out as an ebook for Amazon and Apple.

You write that without heart's conviction. You will feel better seeing it in print. Besides, you need to donate a copy to Otterbein University's library as well as give one to daughter and to each of the boys for later reading (if they so desire); one to your Muse and one to Doug and Nancy and one for yourself. - Amorella

         1521 hours. We are home.

Post what you have, relax; you read the July Motor Trend this morning while Carol was reading the July Automobile. You cannot help but be thinking about a new car in the back of your mind. Right now, you are back to a non-hybrid Honda Touring, a V-6, no less because it is cheaper than a hybrid and a fun car to drive with a bigger trunk just as the ones you have. If reading is too much right now, take a nap. - Amorella

2236 hours. We had leftover chicken salad for supper after we mowed the yard. We finished the "Modern Family" and "Bluebloods" series for the season. I read the new Automobile magazine. We talked about cars. I have no idea what new car we are going to end up with. The fun is being subdued by too much information on something we consider a ten-year investment in reliable and economic transportation. I did take a nap but am ready for bed anyhow. It was rather warm and muggy while mowing. We finished it though just before it began sprinkling.

         Post. - Amorella
