Notes - Diplomat' Slipper Project for GMG Volume 3 / begin Dead 11

Shortly after noon local time. You had your appointment with Dr. M, and have scheduled two appointments, one with Rehabilitation for carpel tunnel in both arms and with a dermatologist for a mole on your back (screen for skin cancer). Otherwise, next week you have an appointment with Dr. G, your nephrologist; and the week after for an appointment with Dr. B, your endocrinologist. He mentioned also an appointment with Dr. S, for a colonoscopy but that is not until October, 2018.

1223 hours. This is how it is when you are in your seventies. I’m sure there is a dental appointment for teeth cleaning somewhere in the mix also. I have been thinking about destroying all those old spiral notebooks but perhaps I can glean some information about Amorella from the text before I do. It is interesting. I was thinking about this early this morning. Amorella did not ‘speak’ well early on. One important point I remember from the first notebook was that she considered herself “focused imagination” yet there was a sense she was from somewhere else. I could put this in a separate document, something to work on as an aside. I did destroy the small memo-books, there was nothing worth saving in them. I have a lot of material that is not worth saving. I need to be going through this. Time to begin throwing useless material away.

Mid-afternoon. You had lunch at Chipotle/Panera, an errand, ice cream at Graeter’s, then home. We may find use for searching those old spiral notebooks for examples of ‘my’ alien-like nature – something we can use in book three as examples were used from the first two books in book three the first time around. Once this is completed on another document you can drop in a summary for each book – following the calendar protocol. Title the new research document: “The Silver Slipper”. – Amorella

1619 hours. There will be plenty of time to work on this and one notebook at a time sounds reasonable.

Playing on the fiction it will be set up by hybrid Diplomat Burroughs, whose mother is Pyl Burroughs and father is Yermey. She will be older and is more than curious as to who this ‘alien’ is attached to Richard the writer. She already assumes (from research presented in book three, Merlyn’s Mind, that I am an alien, and now she has access to your earliest notes. So let her work with them on her own. Also, this is extra work for the later book and comes second to keeping up with completed GMG-One and GMG-Two. Do you accept these conditions? – Amorella

1629. Wow. Who would have thought such a thing. This is an interesting concept that already has precedent in Merlyn’s Mind. Why “The Silver Slipper”? What an odd combination of words. Why would Diplomat choose such a title?

I’m ‘Silver’ you see, as in “loose change” i.e. “loose cannon on deck” and ‘Slipper’ is “uncatchable, slippery”. Diplomat still has her sense of humor, boy. This ought to be a fun diversion for both of you as she is waiting around to come on stage, so to speak, after all, she is a teen-ager in earthly terms. Merlyn’s Mind was published in 2008 when she was seven. It is now 2014, that would make Diplomat thirteen years old or thereabouts.

Oh my gosh, a thirteen year old. When Diplomat was seven she was mental age equivalent of a 21 year old (or thereabouts). What would she be presently?

She would be about thirty-five to forty and her lifespan will be about five hundred years, the same as Yermey and most other marsupials. Also, she has spent two years on ThreePlanets, not all at once, but two years in months out of six years. This is somewhat like Kim having spent a year of her life in Florida by the time she was twenty-one, don’t you think? – Amorella

1649 hours. This is going to take some fun imagination. It will be nice to be in Diplomat’s shoes for her study. I always liked her character. She can research all those early notes, right?

And, she does, beginning with the college notebook. Keep in mind she will have to work within the constraints of seven hundred to eight hundred words per chapter for twelve chapters. Post. – Amorella

1654 hours. That would be 9000 words with 750 words as an average per chapter.

That’s a base for this first rough drafting, no more than nine thousand words total on her research. – Amorella

This sounds good to me, “The Silver Slipper Project” for Great Merlyn’s Ghost, Volume Three, it is. Awesome. This will be a fun diversion from time to time.

2238 hours. I would like to work on Dead 11. After skimming the chapter I think “Trust” works for the theme.

         I agree. – Amorella

2311 hours. I am about half way through Dead 11.

Time for bed, boy. Tomorrow morning Carol has an eye appointment and it is safer if you drive her into Kenwood and wait for her to drive her home, as her eyes will have been treated. Post. - Amorella

2315 hours. We watched several television programs and I caught up with "Revolution" after a light supper of sandwiches. I will begin Diplomat's work a bit later.

You will find a way to work on both without one project interfering with the other. - Amorella
