Mid-morning. You are at Kroger’s on
Tylersville stalking up on supplies – mostly for stew, chili or turkey soup for
next week – Carol asked and any one of those is a primary request to fight off
the upcoming sub zero Arctic weather coming your way the first of the week.
1016 hours. It is actually a bit cold
in the car. I should have worn a coat I guess, though Carol said it was in the
twenties. I have the car facing east for capturing the morning sun. What’s
noticeable is that the black plastic keys on the MacAir are warm but the
aluminum (plane wing) casing is an ice cube to the touch. Most people do have
jackets but some are dressed like Monday’s weather is here already. The lot is
not so crowded so far but I’m sure it will pick up later today and tomorrow.
Besides, there is a playoff game here tomorrow afternoon at the Paul Brown
Stadium; people always stalk up for football. Personally, I’m looking forward
to Masterpiece Theatre tomorrow night, as it is the fourth season four of Downton
Abbey.
1807 hours. Carol just made an
excellent cheese sandwich from the bread we had left over from a very tasty Longhorn’s lunch
today (alas Jennifer is off on Saturdays). Errands afterwards. Later I got the tree down, wrapped and boxed though
not perfectly. I’ll have to tape the top shut as it is about an inch off true.
It will work but I’m waiting for tomorrow for that. I did buy some cable ties
to clean up the clutter behind the TV. The DVD’s are stored in the basement.
One day we’ll buy a new TV and I’ll be able to use a DVD machine for it.
Basically we have enough to do using the DVR machine. A new large screen
television is not a necessity and might not even be practical for the two of
us. The screen we have is 34 inch and it is HD so I don’t consider we are
behind the times.
