Notes - AM with planet maps / tweaked chapters - 7, 6, 5 & 4 /

         You are in the shade at Pine Hill Lakes Park near the earth dam waiting on Carol to complete her walk this cool, crisp early October morning in July. Jean is to get out of the hospital today and you feel she still might get married on Friday though she has been told she needs the rest for rocky recovery it has been so far. This puts you in a quandary as to what to do about the 1974 Indian High School Reunion you were invited to this Friday night. You have told Denise W. that you were going to a quick wedding and that you were sorry you could not attend the dinner. Yesterday you were told the wedding was called off because she was not going to get out of the hospital until Wednesday at the earliest. This is now one of life’s sticky situations. You feel, and told Carol, that you think they will get married Friday anyway. You can pick up and go at the last minute if that is the call. Here is my take at present – say nothing for the time being. If at the last minute you can go to the reunion (you hope the Jean and James get married like they originally wanted to do) then find out the time and address, show up, say your ‘hello’s’ at the meet and greet then bow out before dinner (or show up after dinner) since you have been taken off the list. How does that sound? – Amorella

         0932 hours. It is not as I would have wished but under the circumstances it appears fair.

         Now, you can let that go for the time being. Let’s work on chapter seven. – Amorella

         1000 hours. I have completed chapter seven. It was not so bad, just a few corrections and tweaks as far as I can discern at the moment. Here comes Carol from up over the hill.

         You are home. Take a break then we work on chapter six. – Amorella

         1026 hours. Sounds good to me. Hey, we are getting closer to the goal, pumped.

         1206 hours. Carol is drying her hair. I have completed chapter six but I am taking a break. I am feeling more resolute about using BookBaby publishers. I did not realize they also work with musicians but I remember seeing CDBaby on Jennifer and Pascal’s CD’s. There was a time I would have probably thought more about actually setting up my own publication for the ebook and save the money. Formats do exist. I want the work to appear decently published. I hope I am discovering the errors and making good corrections. I do not want to embarrass my family and friends. It would not be honorable or polite. Still, authenticity and honesty are the most important factors in any fiction as far as I am concerned. Five chapters to go and we are half way through July. I suppose we will soon be off for lunch.

         Mid-afternoon. After a Subway lunch picnic down along the Little Miami River you stopped at Graeter’s for two kids’ cup treats. Carol had a double chocolate chip and you had a new summer flavor, bourbon, pecan, chocolate chip. – Amorella

         1451 hours. That was a very tasty ice cream. Where they concocted the excellent bourbon flavor is something else – quite summery. I could almost envision the full stands at the Kentucky Derby while enjoying – not a mint julep but it will do. Presently we are facing west sitting in the shade of a large old Oak towards the center of Rose Hill Cemetery. Carol is reading the newest AARP magazine and I am about to work on tweaking chapter five.

         1514 hours. I found fewer errors and corrections on this chapter. I hope I am studying this as much as I did the earlier chapters. It is much easier moving backwards through the chapters than it was in the beginning.

         You are home and Carol has picked her first four ripe cherry tomatoes of the season. After turning off the air conditioning you opened the windows high so more fresh air can come through. Jadah and Spooky love the fresh air, lots of curious smelling no doubt. Take a break and if you are up to it let’s get chapter four tweaked also. Tomorrow you are up to Delaware to visit with Kim, have lunch and return the same day.

         1730 hours. Chapter Four took a bit more time. It flows better now and I hope better understandable.
