Mid-evening. You arrived home from a good
two days with Kim, Paul, Owen and Brennan. The boys behaved admirably. Upon Kim
and Paul’s return from the wedding this afternoon Kim handed Carol a dozen
Jennifer cookies from On the Rise. You had a pleasant chat then left. You will
return Thursday afternoon for dinner at Olive Garden at the Polaris Centre. Friday
morning you will leave for lunch with David and Marsha in Massillon. You have
been spending time working on a revised e-Publication of GMG.One. Wait until
tomorrow to go over it again, one more time. You feel it is better but I
wanting to touch the poem:

Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today,
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

‘This
concludes the first volume of Great
Merlyn’s Ghost which shows me bodiless and naked except for a heavy
dressing of transparent agnostic armor. Clearly, here I stand speaking to a
Presence, a pretend Angel, that may be no more real than I am,’ thinks a
suddenly enlightened Richard Greystone, a man who does not know whether he is
dead or alive. ‘Am I an extension of dead Merlyn’s dreams? Where is my perfect
validation of reality, my twin, Robert?’
“Orndorff,
you don’t have a twin named Robert.” replies Amorella in a touch of angelic wit,
“and the only Presence in here is me not you.”
