Mid-morning. You awoke this morning
and wrote down, “Light becomes as water and the spirits, ghosts, if you will,
swim upstream in this rush of liquid protons in search of solid ground.” –
Amorella
0901 hours. It is as a vision of
sorts. I can see the spirits swimming but I cannot see the solid ground. I cannot imagine how solid ground would be if light were
to run like water but it would be a reality like no other. Only a human spirit
like Merlyn could have such a dream that would have no material, physical
essence the Living could ever conjure up.

Your immediate concern is that it would be
impossible to have ‘twin-like’ Earths with human duplicates living similar environs.
In here they obviously are as twins that tend to replicate behaviors. The Blake
Williams that died of a plague on one world is not exactly the same Blake
Williams in another. They do not share a common heartansoulanmind because even
if they did their environments would not lead them to be the exact same person.
The parallel world in the books is a mirror-like world without the mirror. Souls
however are replications of an order of spiritual elements that do not have entropy.

You
had a late lunch at Panera/Chipotle and are at Kroger’s on Tylersville for
banana to last through Saturday morning. – Amorella
1432 hours. Life is interesting. Human
beings for the most part love cultural routine. Kroger’s is already displaying three
outdoor shelves between the in and out doors with a variety of odd sized
ceramic pumpkins for Fall and Halloween decorations indoors or out.
Today one of your former senior students,
Lindsey, from the 1990’s, stopped while you were at Panera and introduced her
fourth grader to you and Carol. Her parents still live in the neighborhood and
you always acknowledge one another with a friendly wave. Another, David, from
your days in Sao Paulo in the early 1970’s, also said hello yesterday as did
Greg, another senior from the 1990’s who became a Facebook friend as the others
already are. You value their kind acknowledgement to your teaching. – Amorella
1443 hours. You are embarrassing me
Amorella. There is a joy every time a student says hello. The kind words are an
extra bonus. Students are one of the great rewards of being and having been a career
teacher – a wonderfully modest shaped reward that has nothing to do with
economics. These are normally quiet, pleasing thoughts that are not meant for publication.
Later in the afternoon. You and Carol had dessert at Graeter’s
after stopping at Walmart for another (one much easier to use) timer for the
light. On the way home you stopped for some fresh corn north of town for
supper. – Amorella
You
checked your email and received a note from Doug after you sent him an article
on entropy. Does the universe decline into disorder or order? It seems to you
that it does. Let’s keep that in the fiction. – Amorella
1708 hours. A universe comes into
flower then eventually goes to seed, but another flower can grow in its place,
so to speak.
Later
in the evening. You watched “Rizzoli and Isles” and “Covert Affairs” as well as
NBC News after fresh corn on the cob and steak burgers for supper. – Amorella
2158 hours. I should have enough time
to complete Dead 3. I haven’t looked at it today that I can remember.
2247
hours. I have worked this segment almost to scrap. It is not ready because it
is lost in words.
Perhaps tomorrow, boy. You see a lost cause
here because you love words more than the story Merlyn is attempting to
present. – Amorella
2250 hours. I am scrapping this segment and will begin Dead 3 once again tomorrow.
