Later morning. Kim has just passed Max and
Erma’s at SR 68 and I-71. Your cat girls have no idea the grand matriarch of
the Paik/Orndorff cat dynasty is about to give them a furry royal welcome to
what will now be Ellie’s house of cats and live in human servants of shelter,
food and the cattiest of comforts. – Amorella
1039 hours. This sounds just about
right, Amorella. Jadah and Spooky are bound to have to give up something for
the right of Queen Ellie to be content at her every whim. She is gentle and
puts up with the boys but there will be a hissy fit or two as she arrives, that’s
my take on it. We’ll see how it plays.
Carol left for and returned from the doctor
and is now in Kroger’s on Tylersville picking up a prescription for sinus. You
and Kim stopped and shared a turtle sundae at Graeters after the three of you
had lunch at Brazenhead Irish Pub first. Ellie was sad as Kim was leaving. Kim
left to pick up the boys. Paul was on call but you think is now at the hospital
for a heart surgery. – Amorella
You
didn’t do any Pouch work today and now is the not time to begin. You did have
carrots and ice water for supper while you both watched the national news,
“Unforgettable” and the PBS “Secrets of Westminster”. Spooky won’t come
downstairs so you took up food and water as well as a litter station for her
use until she can bring herself to walk and sit in the same room with Queen
Ellie who ironically also needs creature comfort herself as she sits with you
in the living room. - Amorella
2143 hours. I think of T. S. Eliot and
his many observed and independent cats that found a re-creation in a wonderful
musical not so many years ago. Today Kim spoke of Owen and the four years olds
on the T-ball baseball team and how watching them play a game is like trying to
herd cats – every one off in a different direction. Overall, it has been a fun
day with a tweak of diversion to add sly humor in living of one day at a
time for a change. Most days roll together in a week or two and before long
half a year is gone; an enjoyable half of a year for the most part, but gone
nevertheless.
