Notes - time to tinker? / my uncle's obituary

0944 hours. Carol is at breakfast with Ann and the Blue Ash group. I have been cleaning out the car and wondering how we are going to pack as well as sweeping the garage and finding something to relieve the anxiety in our cats. What I need to do is focus on packing. Coins and passports are in the car. We should not need a map with Google on board.

Check Socrates in book four text. – Amorella

0955 hours. I can find nothing.

You had Papa John’s pizza for lunch and watched part two of the PBS “Breathless” – a medical soap/murder mystery. You watched “Extant” while Carol continued packing. Craig and Alta called and said they would be in between four and five. Carol gets her hair done at three. Busy day tomorrow, boy. – Amorella

2252 hours. I did not work on Dead 5 except for research on Socrates. I have background. Wikipedia is idea for summary because that is all I need on the man. I have read works by Plato and Aristotle. This ought to be enough for a character study – dialogue. It is funny that the Merlyn books are full of dialogue but not philosophy. Commerce supports lot of talk, lots of noise, but without much reason except to convince black is white if it will sell a product or a concept. I am cynical and a bit crusty around the edges when I look at the larger picture of world cultures floating on top of Orwell’s river. Deep down I can’t see me selling a book. I like it best when I wrote, printed and just put the text in a box in the basement. Each day I drift further and further away from GMG.One. This book is interesting and fun to work on. If I have time to tinker with Dead 5 I’ll do it, if not I can work on it when we return in a week or so. I wonder what Merlyn and Socrates will talk about this time around? What would philosophical heartsansoulsanminds talk about anyway once Earth is done with them and they survive on for thousands of Earth years. It seems to me that there would be nothing to talk about after a while. (2307)
