You awoke to three to four inches of snow
and you were surprised by the time you went out to run errands you discovered
Jared, your former student whose mother, Donna, lives next door, finishing up
your driveway with a shovel no less as the snow blower does not work well in
wet snow. You ran your errands and stopped at Smashburgers for a noon lunch.
The snow is quite a garnish wonderland with an inch or two of snow on the tops
of most branches large and small. Yesterday,
Sunday, you both worked in the yard raking and bagging before the snow began.
You worked on cleaning up the house from the cats, going through the mail, etc.
Then you watched three ‘catch up’ programs (two “Elementary” and one “Blue
Bloods”). You also watched most of two “Grimm” shows before bedtime while Carol
was sorting the pile of over two weeks of daily newspapers. It was a very busy
day plus you were still tired from driving home Saturday. - Amorella

hours. We are readjusting to our routines and have something going on each day
of the week except Friday when we have decided to take Ellie back to Kim and
Paul’s. She appears somewhat distressed and we found her sleeping on the bags
from Kim and Paul’s to take back to them. All three cats have been keeping
‘attached’ to us since we arrive. Ellie just appears to want to go home – she
misses Kim and Paul, and I suppose the boys too. It will be a shock. She does
not like to ride in the car. We are taking the Honda. And, she does not know
the new house at all. Poor Ellie.
