Notes - art films / a mythology of souls / angelic wings

Late morning. Having trouble with the right thumb this morning, boy – hard to hit the space bar. You are at Kroger’s on Mason-Montgomery after buying fuel at the Kroger filling station for two dollars and eighteen cents a gallon. You never thought you’d live to see the day when gasoline was so cheap. Carol has a Retired Blue Ash Elementary rogue lunch at Trio’s in Kenwood today so you are dining in probably on baked beans and hot dogs while you watch a movie on Netflix, at least this is your present plan. – Amorella

1115 hours. We are home. I hadn’t thought about what I was going to do when she is at lunch. What you say sounds pretty good though if I can think of a good film – an old Swedish art film sounds good – something by Bergman. “The Seventh Seal” comes to mind first, or something by Fellini, perhaps “8½”.

Why would those two be the first films on your mind, boy? – Amorella

1125 hours. They were the two art films of the 1960’s that impressed me the most.

         Post. - Amorella

You selected specific peanut and walnut pieces out of a can of “healthy nuts” for your lunch and left the rest. You could not use Netflix because you could not remember Paul’s password to get into your account. Instead you watched “Revenge of the Empire” on Blu Ray and the recent rerun of the “I Love Lucy Christmas Special” while Carol was at lunch and shopping at Macy’s afterword.

1720 hours. I enjoyed them both. I have become attached to the Xmas tree lights. Dusk is rapidly falling away into evening. Tomorrow is time to work more on cleaning up the house. Basically, I am up for taking a nap but it is too late in the day.

Evening. Carol had green beans, a baked potato and steak burgers for supper. Earlier you had dessert at Graeter’s. You watched “NCIS.LA”, “Major Crimes”, a “Modern Family” and NBC News.

2130 hours. I am wondering about the sequences of the Dead into swarming and what that is about? What will we have the Dead do? There has to be a purpose like pollination or something that allows further growth, but how would the Dead grow? What experiences tie them together? The Living have cultures, language, family, economic stability, but the Dead it would seem to me are pretty stable without an economy. The language is understood intuitively; I suppose like body language is understood within cultures.

In here the soul eventually ‘absorbs’ the mind and heart – the Dead grow into the soul until the three parts, as it were, are one. – Amorella

2139 hours. This I did not expect. I thought the focus would be on the growth or maturation of the Dead but it is on the soul.

What else would this be for, boy? The soul is first and foremost. – Amorella

2143 hours. The soul learns humanity; being human is as the curriculum the soul must master.

The Master becomes the Student. – Amorella

         I do not understand this.

The master soul becomes the student human and does not graduate, so to speak, until the soul is fully a human student. – Amorella

How does the swarming fit in as far as these books are concerned?

A Gathering – souls, a body of friendly spirits, move and thus make waves (of sorts) – ripples within physics and metaphysics. These ripples are as emotional tensions, hauntings that keep reflections in movement, that stir the souls to rise from what-is-not-known. Is this something you can work with? – Amorella

2156 hours. If I can see reason I can work within it.

This goes back to the mid-eighties when you learned to use the washer at the end of the string held dangling by your thumb and forefinger. The nerves controlled by the subconscious. The ripples, if you will, are as such a type of nerve that allows a sense of being. Hauntings, in here, are not what they seem. Reflections come from being haunted. All creatures of higher consciousness are haunted by their own reflections, don’t you see. It is a rule. It is the framework of the soul. Post. – Amorella

2205 hours. I think this is probably a simplification, but it is one I can work from. This allows the universe to have a sense of its own being so that we may create personifications of this for a story understanding – a mythology that brings small details and large concepts into the same circumstance.

That is it; this singular concept is first about the human circumstance, not human theatre. Post. – Amorella

2211 hours. This is easier to grasp. Thank you, Amorella. Wow. Interesting. How will this work into the book? This tension -- a part of the "salt and pepper" in the book.

2216 hours. This 'reflection' -- can it be mistaken for the movement of angelic wings?

Now, there's an unexpected thought, boy. - Amorella
