Notes - good question

Mid-afternoon. You had a late lunch at Smashburgers, stopped at Hallmark at VOA Centre and for groceries at Kroger’s. You did the shopping as Carol had a cortisone shot in her left knee earlier this morning. She is putting off a knee replacement as long as the doctor tells her to do so. She hasn’t had a shot for more than a year. – Amorella

1433 hours. I figure if she can wait a year or so she’ll be able to have an individually ‘printed’ replacement inserted. I hope that’s the case anyway. I did do my forty minutes of exercises this morning but not as vigorously as yesterday. Carol is supposed to rest. It was rather pleasant though, getting out for lunch. Yesterday I picked up a Subway for our lunch while we watched a couple of DVRed shows.

You are tired feeling as though the ‘flu’ or whatever has turned into a very bad cold. Overall, this is somewhat better but not much. Check your email and do as you will, boy. – Amorella

Evening. You both are physically tired, Carol perhaps more so. You both had open face peanut butter on wheat for supper. You watched NBC News, and the most recent “NCIS” and “Person of Interest”. You spent about an hour working on the channels for the new TV and discovered you can now pick up the Time-Warner music channels upstairs. You enjoy the ‘hunt’ for material on the new set. – Amorella

2116 hours. It is an easier challenge when dealing with matters of the real world. In the esoteric world I have learned some things too, and they appear to give me a better sense of understanding how it might be hypothetically speaking. Doug and I both agree that the world has hardly been explored and there is very much we do not know about our own physical surroundings from the very small to the very large environs. I am about to give that recent Edge article another read before heading up to bed.

2159 hours. I just finished the reread. I had the basic idea in the original read; the rereads helped me to better clarify it. I think the author, Neil Gershenfeld, is correct. We are on the way to a new culture and we are modifying ourselves for it along the way. The best example socially, is Facebook. The best example in communication is the cell phone. The best example of bringing us together into a new ‘brotherhood/sisterhood’ so to speak is the Internet. They are making remaking us, refurbishing out species in much the same way our genes and cells make us what we are physically. We will not be in a beehive or an anthill environment, we will be human inside and out. We will survive by continuing to learn to know ourselves inside and out. We will be both free and limited so that the species may grow to be what we will be – forever human and hopefully forever humane. (2207)

Now, how to we show this in the culture of the marsupial-humanoids? – Amorella

2210 hours. Good question, Amorella, and I like it very much.
