Notes - on deck / ACE Rules / too weird / Hinterland

You had breakfast and read the paper. Jadah has been curled on your chest for a while. Carol is going to lunch at one o’clock with three of her retired Blue Ash Elementary teacher friends who volunteer at Bethesda North Hospital. You are curious as to the top three Angelic Close Encounter rules you will choose. – Amorella

0835 hours. That’s funny, Amorella – ACE rules. The ace does rule in cards – luck of the draw – all that. It is a reminder on the odds and an accidental hand – a string of straights. That’s all I remember about card games. Poker, Hearts, Bridge and Canasta are the games I remember but poker and hearts are the only ones I remember playing. There were several games played originally when cards were popular in the eighteenth century. I used to know them. Jonathon Swift highlighted them in his poems, as did Alexander Pope. Gin Rummy might have been one and War or allusions to it, another. I think it is time for a short nap.

The sun is trying to peek through the clouds, boy, and you want nap time. – Amorella

0851 hours. I’m tired. Carol woke up early and wanted to have a conversation about knee replacement. I obliged but then couldn’t go back to sleep.

         Later, dude. Post. - Amorella

1240 hours. I made minor grammatical corrections to the rules and have the top three in bold.

         Add and post. – Amorella

1242 hours. I have not chosen the order yet.

You have. The three are in the order your heartansoulanmind would have them. – Amorella

I will reverse numbers 3 and 4 to make this correction.

Angelic Close Encounter Rules

1. The observer must recognise what and who she or he is from the top to through bottom of her or his heartansoulanmind. Forgive yourself and stand with dignity as the human being you are, nothing more, nothing less. Be damn well ready to stand. This is not a time to grovel.

2. Respect the Angel for what it is; it may become the Angel of G---D at any instant. Do not attempt any manipulation of this Presence. This is overwhelmingly difficult because normal surviving skills will rise. Let them go in peace. Accept the conditions of this event. If nothing else the observer will learn something about her or himself that she or he did not know.

3. Let the world go. The world is in its place; this place is not of the world and you are as a momentary guest – be polite and respectful but also honest to the core; no arrogance or malice – you are a being without body, heartansoulanmind only, be as clear as your imperfect glass will allow. The observer can question the Angel with an open, honest and even defiant heart.

4. No pretending. No falseness accepted; let all thoughts go concentrate on being what is left when no thoughts only consciousness exists.

5. Do not think to apologize for being human. To think otherwise is a profound arrogance. In such a profound experience ne cannot know whether she or he is Innocent or not. Accept your full humanity with dignity; respect the Angel in its Being. Humility will rise in the sincerity of this course. The Angel ‘knows’ the observer better than the observer is able to know her or his self.

6. This is a Necessity. Will the heartansoulanmind to accept any human failings and/or the most terrible of thoughts that rise in the moment. Will these fear-gathering thoughts go away in peace.

7. Being nonphysical, only heartansoulanmind, the observer’s nakedness is overwhelming. The ‘light’ is the sense of being observed by Nothing imaginable or by an Angel, not ‘light’ in the physical sense.

8. The Angel comes to the observer not the other way around. Distance between the observer and the Presence is understood, though logically the observer might assume she or he is within the Angel or its Conditional Region and nothing else exists. This appears to be a natural occurring spiritual experience.

9. The Angelic ‘light’ shows that within its Reality; the observer does not appear to exist. The Angelic light shines through the observer creating this effect. The observer exists and does not exist at the same time in this Angelic setting. This can be very disconcerting.

10. Nothing can be done about this spiritual experience. The event happens. The experience is beyond the observer’s general nature. This is a rule caused by being both of/with Nature and in a ‘Beyond or Before’ setting both at once.

Afternoon. You watched “King Henry VIII Court” on PBS while Carol was at lunch then you both did several laps at the community center. Carol did six and you did five, so you both walked over a half mile with you resting at the end of each lap. – Amorella

1619 hours. You did not count my extra lap from the car and back.

That was not a lap, boy, that was a walk. – Amorella

1620 hours. I dropped the rules into a clear Dead 9 and it adds up to 485 words so I don’t really see us using the set; anyhow, I don’t know how you could anyway. I was thinking of continuity of the rules as well as the practicality of doing the work.

That leaves you some three hundred more words to drop in. – Amorella

1626 hours. I will have to think of something.

How about some humor with Merlyn observing Richard Greystone writing the rules in his dream and realizing that Richard wrote them not himself. – Amorella

1629 hours. I can see the humor but I can’t imagine the reader would.

It could show that Merlyn’s in the same ‘here and not here at the same time state that Richard found himself in being addressed by an Angel. – Amorella

1631 hours. That’s too weird, Amorella.

It’s there if you want to use it. Post. - Amorella

2119 hours. Snack supper and we watched last night’s “NCIS” and “Person of Interest”. Carol is upstairs reading and I am not feeling too productive; might as well head up soon too.

Let your fingers work Dead 9 first. – Amorella

2124 hours. I’ve got nothing, Amorella, but I’ll stare at it for a minute or two.

2202 hours. I have it at 743 words. I will clean it up in the morning. Some shape shifting of letters will have to do for some modern Thomas somewhere. I will have the chapter online sometime tomorrow and be done with it for now. I am ready to move on.

         Post. – Amorella

2205 hours. I think this Dead 9 was completed in a place between consciousness and unconsciousness, a place not unlike the Hinterland, a shoreline path between two great seas.
