Notes - Gump cap / good day

         You both awoke mid-morning, had a light breakfast and while reading the Sunday Tampa Bay Times Linda called and said they were half way to the condo stopped at a flower store for Bill. Once they arrived you four drove to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company at John’s Pass for lunch. Everyone had a good lunch and Carol bought a brown ‘box of chocolates’ T-shirt and you bought a faded summer cap with a script “Bubba Gump” centered above “SHRIMP CO.” below. It has been storming for about an hour but now it is letting up. Somehow your left eye has been irritated. You called Paul who suggested a saline solution for now (which you have done) but it is not better by morning he will write you a prescription for an antibiotic eye solution to take its place. Linda brought over the Tampa Tribune so now you have a second Sunday paper which Carol has begun reading. – Amorella

         1535 hours. We stopped at the Candy Store at about 16000 Gulf Boulevard on the way to the condo from John’s Pass. Linda and Bill had never stopped before. It has about all the candies we grew up with in the 1950’s, penny stuff then. Awesome. Both were delighted with the place, which has been where it is since 1950 and the inside is the same except the owner has added homemade ice cream of various flavors for the younger folks. Blue skies and white fluffies are returning to the fold.

         1609 hours. I forgot to post. I must say I do like my new Bubba Gump cap. It fits for the summer and I have more in common with Forrest than I do with the CIA so although that cap was created as a joke this one I bought on my own. I haven’t worn the CIA cap in Tampa or St. Pete – too close to MacDill AFB. The Bubba Gump cap is much more appropriate.   

         Late evening. You both relaxed watching House and Garden network on island living, etc. for about three hours. Your left eye is not any worse. Carol is finishing her book. – Amorella

         2233 hours. We are retired and on a Florida break. It has been a good day. The lower area around my eye is sore, like it has been punched; it is not any worse, nor is it better either. I’m tired and ready for bed. Carol will come in when she finishes reading. I need to take my blood pressure too, and check my email. This will be it.
