Notes - Memorial Day / cosmic evolution piece / remembrance

Your brother-in-law Ralph Peterson husband of Gayle died earlier this morning. He had been quite ill for several months. You hope he is in a better, more restful place. – Amorella

1122 hours. Thank you, Amorella. Yours are simpler and better expressed than my endless tugging for words. A fitting day to die. May Ralph rest in peace.

It is another beautiful morning on the beach, which is packed just about a hundred yards north in the public beach area. Saturday they moved down here because of the excess, and may today also. I don’t mind. I don’t know why all Gulf beaches aren’t public. They should be in my opinion. This is as good a holiday as any for surf and sand. Westerville always had a parade through Uptown and down West College to Grove Street at Otterbein’s Tower Hall then down Grove to Walnut and Otterbein Cemetery now run by the City of Westerville. Aunt Patsy has some older pictures of the parade in her book on the history of Westerville the Historical Society published fifteen or twenty years ago.

Carol is talking about going to lunch in a bit. Time to check your email. Post. - Amorella

1433 hours. I had questions on ‘evidence’ in terms of intelligent ET’s yesterday. By coincidence I received a note from The Academia.edu.

Hi Richard,

Mark L. Lupisella (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Engineering, Science) just uploaded a paper on Academia.edu:

Thanks,

The above paper is very interesting in its set up. And, well worth the read because it shows thoughtful academic-like implications if such aliens exist. Just click on the blue title text above.

This should be a form of reassurance for you orndorff, but to you it is just a study and means very little in the practical sense. You do like the construction though and (oddly) wish you had the wherewithal to write such a piece. – Amorella

1445 hours. Carol is out sunning on the condo ground deck as the sun hasn’t fully reached the balcony yet. I feel I am losing some sense of focus or interest ability. I enjoy thinking on the theoretical. I would not make a good scholar and I wasn’t. Life continues to be interesting.

         Post. - Amorella

Evening. You had a good time at Linda and Bill’s. James cooked the wieners and burgers. Linda had three side dishes for choice and choice of drinks. They invited their long time neighbors over. One is having carpel tunnel surgery in the morning so that was a topic of discussion; another topic was motorcycles because the neighbor and James are experienced motorcyclists. Otherwise, general discussions were from two retired vets and one nearing retirement. The women talked about school problems and family pets. You mostly sat and listened. – Amorella

2137 hours. I mentioned a couple of things about Brazilian driving when Santa Domingo driving and Florida driving were brought up but that’s about it.  Carol went with Linda to pick up Mary Lou at the airport. They are happy that Ralph’s brother, Jim, is flying in from California tonight and will stay with Gayle for a week and besides company will help where and when needed. Mary Lou in particular has been helping Gayle ever since November when Ralph fell and broke many bones. This trip had been planned for months as had ours. Last Fall we had our trip to Niagara Falls when Uncle Ernie died. Aunt Patsy was fine with our not attending the actual funeral as we have been seeing both of them during the years while he was alive. Ralph is not having a service or funeral by his own request.

Stop here boy. No need for any more.  No need for this last paragraph only you feel better having thought it. The world goes on. Memories linger. That’s what they are for, remembrance of what life is. Post. - Amorella
