Evening. The weather began as cold and rainy
and stayed that way most of the day, not getting out of the low sixties. You
easily reverted to home habits: peanut butter and raisins on wheat bread, a
banana and a glass of skim milk for breakfast. Carol had her cereal with fruit
and milk and orange juice as you read the Monday paper. You napped after cleaning out your three
assorted travel bags while Carol worked on the laundry. Jadah and Spooky
continue to need additional attention, which you both gladly give. Errands were
run then a good lunch at Piada Italian Street Food followed by a Graeter’s
dessert. Carol had strawberry chip with the largest single piece of Graeters
dark chocolate chip either of you have ever seen. – Amorella

hours. It was in part one/half inch high and a good five inches long, as big or
bigger than some candy bars (with the ice cream licked off it reminded me of a
Baby Ruth). I took up two scoops of ice cream together and the sales girl gave
her a third scoop which made it a regular ice cream rather than a kids’ cup
worth for a kids’ cup price. She said it seemed a rather large piece. I had
something new for summer but I can’t remember what it was, only it was caramel,
chocolate chip and whole pecan halves and refreshingly summer good on such a
cool and wet day.
You took another nap with Jadah on your lap,
then you both set out to watch some missed TV shows. You watched five full hour
shows and the national news before calling it quits. Along the way you took
time to pick up an excellent Papa John’s pizza made in part by Homer himself –
your regular large half veggie, half works of which you both had two pieces for
supper. You have beside you three new magazines: the June Discover and
the July Automobile and Motor Trend but have not begun them yet.
Carol just went upstairs to read.
Saturday
you spent the day driving from Madeira Beach to a Quality Inn at I-75’s Exit 60
(Sweetwater) Tennessee. Lots of stop and go traffic in south Atlanta due to
construction and an accident on the southbound side. Sunday you arrived home
about two o’clock in the afternoon after leaving before eight. Lunch at
Panera/Chipotle, groceries and other errands as well as unpacking and running
at least one load of clothes. You watched one earlier missed TV show, Grimm,
the last of the season. So, you have had three busy days so far. – Amorella

hours. I also caught up on the last two and a half weeks of newspaper comics
and we are still scanning the old papers mostly for local stories we would have
otherwise missed.
