Notes - a day of yard and office work /

Early evening. Early this morning you readied yourself for the trip to Joseph Toyota for twenty-five thousand mile car care. Once home you puttered around until eleven then began yard trimming. Carol was working sorting and cleaning the basement. She was excited to find, among other things, more old photographs and her father’s medals and awards from Korea and Vietnam universities and from USAID where he was well liked and respected. She is pleased to have them and will give them to Kim to keep for the boys. Linda probably has like awards from USAID and the universities in Thailand and India. Dr. Granville S. Hammond focused on higher education helping them to better focus on elementary, high school and college education for their countries’ citizens. – Amorella

1957 hours. I just finished cleaning off the driveway and walk of spent grass. I started trimming about eleven o’clock and really didn’t finish until now. In the heat I would work in the shade when possible after trimming and it was about one-thirty when I took a break for lunch. Later we took a break about three for a Graeter’s and a quick trip to Kroger’s. Once the grass was all mowed at five I took another break then had a bath and cleaned up. We watched the national news late while eating snack suppers. Carol worked almost the whole time sorting and throwing out material from the basement and old papers from her office. She has also been working on her new exercises. So, it was a busy day for us, more so for her because I took more breaks because of the heat and sharper than usual arthritic pains today or at least so they seemed so to me.

Old age, as people used to say, boy. That pretty much sums it up. Time to relax. Post. - Amorella
