Notes - Sunday morning /

Solstice is coming up in less than an hour local time. Very exciting, and as Grandma Schick was so fond of saying, “Winter’s coming”. – Amorella

1141 hours. I still get a kick from hearing those words in my ears. She said it every year and meant every word of it. She was a very funny woman, a real character who said what she meant or didn’t say much of anything at all. Today we have a change of plans. Tonight we are going to a Japanese steak house near Polaris, both families the Paik’s and Orndorff’s for Father’s Day. We have all been there before, and actually it might have been last Father’s Day. I don’t remember. Growing up Kim used to love to go to Benihana’s in Tri-County for her birthday and for an extra mark for good grade cards. She never missed as far as I can remember. The boys watch the chief cook all the food at the table too but I don’t see the same reactions that Kim used to have. She studied what was happening. I’ll have to watch Owen a little more closely this time. It will be good to see everyone. Sang and I usually talk about his upcoming retirement or his golf game or new cars. I’m happy Paul is back in Columbus so he and his father can get in some good golf together.

         Post. Later, dude. - Amorella
