Mid-afternoon. You are stopped at Drug Mart
on Tylersville Road where Carol is picking up items for Jill K. to use for the
housecleaning. She begins on the twenty-ninth the day before Carol’s surgery.
It is one more thing Carol won’t have to think about. Yesterday was a good day.
You saw Cathy and Tod and had a good lunch at a brewery called Temperance Row
Uptown Westerville. Everyone had a different sandwich and everyone was
satisfied. Aunt Patsy is furious with the name of the place since the real
Temperance Row is Grove Street – which is where many of the higher ups of the
Temperance League lived in their heyday. Westerville is known for being the
city where it all began in the earlier twentieth century. After lunch you,
Carol and Cathy stopped over to see Aunt Patsy who was finishing up getting her
hair done. - Amorella

hours. We are at Kroger’s on Tylersville after stopping at Graeters because it
is National Ice Cream Soda Day and they are about a dollar off. Aunt Patsy’s hair looks very nice and everyone
complimented her short modern look of silver. Kim called very excited because
she bought a new Honda Odyssey – medium metallic brown and dark brown leather
inside. So, their Honda CRV is no more. The key is having sliding doors in back.
She was worried every time Owen got out that he would bang someone else’s car
as he opened the door. He knows better but she was afraid he might forget and
didn’t want to even think about that with Brennan getting out by himself. I
know we will like it because the car is easier for us to get in and out of.
Paul is happy to have the Highlander because it has all wheel drive and is
larger than the CRV – he is afraid of hitting a deer on the highway early morning on the way
to the hospital. This way everyone is happy. We will see the car tomorrow
afternoon/evening when they return from dinner with Paul’s parents (Father’s
Day). I already have my present – when Kim is happy I am happy – always have
been. I have been thinking about a new car and today I noticed when filling up
the Accord that I hadn’t filled it for a month. Shoot, even if we are only
getting twenty miles to the gallon in town we aren’t filling up that often, so
we can wait awhile. Besides if we got one now Carol wouldn’t really get to
drive it for a couple months. So, anyway, I’ll wait awhile. I’m sure when she
does get back into the car she’ll want the extra room in the Avalon anyway. For
now, that new car is on the back burner.
