Mid-morning. You woke up before the sun,
picked up the morning papers, had cereal and a banana for breakfast while you
read, cleaned up the kitchen, did the dishes by hand, swept the kitchen,
dining, living rooms and hallways, rolled the oriental carpets and placed them
away, moved the coffee table against the front window, rearranged the cats’
carrier cages, toweled the top of the coffee table then put pads on top for the
cats’ comfort, and rearranged the oriental chair so Carol could more easily
move through with the walker. – Amorella

hours. I feel better now that these things are done. If Carol comes home today
it will be late afternoon. She has been doing well with her exercises.
Yesterday was a good day for her though she was tired, last night she should
have caught up on her sleep. It was fun to see Kim and she drove me to the
hospital (she loves driving her new fully equipped Honda Odyssey). We saw Carol
and Linda for somewhat over an hour. Carol was very tired the first night was
hard sleeping until some painkillers were adjusted lower. The main point of the
day is that she did her exercises without any trouble. Dr. Thomas was well
pleased. If she does well on the last two sets of exercises, she will come home
today. Kim and I went to lunch at Outback in Mason before she headed home. We
both enjoyed our Wednesday specials. Once home I watched a couple of programs
then about six-thirty I drove to the hospital. Carol and Linda were fine though
Carol looked very tired but she was supposed to stay awake until nine at least.
I brought back a lot of stuff so she wouldn’t have to do it today. I watched
another program and the news last night. I was tired myself.
Late
dusk. Carol and Linda are asleep in the living room. Linda is afraid that if
Carol wakes up she will momentarily forget to use her walker. This mistake would
not end well. You are upstairs readying for bed after checking your email and
playing with Jadah. Earlier the three of you had Papa John’s pizza from Mason’s
PJ run by Homer. Excellent pizza! You then watched most of the recent “Rossetti
and Isles”. Carol tired out. – Amorella

hours. Carol has been doing really well though I would not have expected less.
This recovery will take some time but she’s a champ as far as I am concerned.
Carol is quietly resolute, always has been. She has a doggedly strong moral compass
besides. We are good together. We are good for each other. I love my life partner.
