Notes - cut down the 'I'

Mid-afternoon. You had an excellent lunch at Longhorn’s and are presently at Kroger’s on Tylersville. Carol is picking up essentials. Earlier you did your forty minutes of exercises with some alteration because of a pulled muscle or two in your left upper thigh. You took a couple days off and have been using dry heat for pain relief. – Amorella

1435 hours. I took one six-hour pain pill before we drove to Columbus and also had the car seat heat on low for the two hours up. Before lunch I used the lower back massage and heat machine, which helps also.

You are quite conscious of using the personal pronoun. – Amorella

Third person is much more comfortable.

Suppertime. Carol is out walking while you are waiting at the Pine Hill Lakes parking lot next to the earth dam.

1747 hours. It has been a rather dreary afternoon. Carol spent time talking to her sister Linda while I have been researching heating and vibrating pads – going to look at Walmart and Target and maybe Yost’s Pharmacy tomorrow if I don’t find what I like tonight. The pad ought to bring temporary relief. We have a back heat massager that works well for what it is.

You counted and found you used ‘I’ three times in the last paragraph. – Amorella

1755 hours. Too much ‘selfness’ in a blog that is supposed to be focusing on writing a novel and observing/learning continuing life lessons about being human. It is difficult to observe without remaining detached at the same time.

Do you observe so you may be detached, that is, is your primary goal to be detached? Is your secondary goal is to observe? – Amorella

1801 hours. This is a very good question set. If the question/response isn’t in the blog for the last five years – it’s been a while.

1806 hours. Certainly being the characters in the Merlyn’s Mind series and in the reworking GMG series allows escape from the personal pronoun and who I am and who I am not.

You shopped for a heating pad but did not find what you wanted. Once home you both had snack suppers and watched “Limitless” on Prime Time and then an older “60 Minutes” that focused on Sony Attacks from North Korea, the Boston Archbishop and the Pope as well as Mindfulness. Carol was reading a new book and just turned out the light. You are ready for bed yourself. – Amorella

2223 hours. I am glad we watched “Limitless”. We have decided to watch the next episode – the first episode wasn’t nearly as bad as the critic had described.

In “Limitless” you were surprised to see the main character talking to himself, as a visual double and you thought of you and me, the Amorella – you saw humor in the duplication. Post. - Amorella
