Notes - SW

Early afternoon. You napped an hour or so this morning, worked on Christmas cards as Carol is doing presently. Soon time to run weekly errands as well as mail the cards; otherwise, it is a quiet Friday so far. – Amorella

1300 hours. I am developing lower back pains, non-arthritic or so it seems. I would attribute this to stress if I had any.

You have the physical stress of aging, boy, don’t you think? – Amorella

1328 hours. Yes, of course. I was thinking of mental stress. We are off the pick up more cards and lunch, etc.

         Later. - Amorella

You split a large chicken salad sandwich at Potbelly’s on Mason-Montgomery Road and bought Carol her Xmas $100.00 card from Barnes and Noble. She was buying next year’s Xmas cards plus a book for herself so you gave her the B&N card early for the novel of her choice. You also asked Carol about Star Wars and you may go tomorrow morning to the 3D show or Sunday morning if you can get tickets, which you will check on before you go home. In the last hour the weather turned quite windy and cold with snow flurries– the first you’ve both seen this season – small, crystal like flakes; at times the flag is straight out on the pole – Amorella

1534 hours. Now I’m waiting at Target – Carol needs a new pan for baking bread. We have a few more errands – Kroger’s and the bank, plus a stop at Regal to see about tickets for tomorrow or Sunday. I should have worn a jacket; a sweatshirt is hardly enough. Winter is here at least for today.

You used the word “alien-like” on your Facebook page the other day, for describing a small shrimp-like creature that may live ten thousand years. One of your former student’s, Andy P., critically wondered what an alien looks like and you thanked him for the comment noting that his criticism is well placed. – Amorella

1606 hours. I am pumped! We have Star Wars tickets for tomorrow morning at ten-thirty. Wow. I am as excited for this film as I was the first. The latest review I read gave the film a five out of five. I feel younger already. I was 34 Carol was 30. The film opened 25 May 1977. We saw it during the first week, probably within the first three days (there were still lines). We saw it again in June.

You are home and it is dusk-an-evening. The Christmas tree is lit and in a bit you are going to go out and look at the Christmas lights about town. Post.- Amorella
