Carol is doing laundry. Kim, Paul and the
boys are heading to the shade of the pool. Bill called and you are meeting Jen
and him for lunch at Frieda’s. Earlier Carol was up early and walked the beach
but by the time you got up and out to find her she was coming in and the blast
of sun about knocked you out, or so it seemed. The heat and terrible humidity
are not doing your arthritis good; of this you are certain. You are waiting for
the Fitbit to charge to do your exercises. The Gulf has a greenish cast today,
big white fluffy clouds casually float along below blue sky – a very pleasant
summer day as far as the view is concerned – a few boaters and a few bikini’s
for good measure. – Amorella
1024 hours. We are on ‘vacation’ from
Ohio to say the least. I love the view any time of year; thank goodness for air
conditioning, electricity and all else that backs it up. Time for exercises.
Just before exercises you checked your
email to find Jean Noble sent a sad message, her cousin-in-law, Ruth Ann
Bernard-Noble, wife of Lester, died last night in an automobile accident,
falling asleep at the wheel before she hit a semi truck. You are in shock. –

I feel quite sad for Jean and for Ruth Ann's daughter.
1523 hours. After lunch Bill, Jen and
the others went to the pool, where they still are. I took a nap and feel
somewhat better. The Gulf is still green tinted with some whitecaps. It is far
too hot for me. I have forgotten how summer Florida can be. I am glad I am not
going to Jamaica in a month.
1629 hours.
Kim and Paul went to Target. You and Carol are with Owen and Brennan. The boys
are both sitting next to each other on the couch, each playing his own iPad
Star Wars game – part of the fun of being a kid in 2016. It is so good to be
here with family; I much appreciate the added time.
Post.

Kim
got you a new book for Father’s Day, Elon Musk: Tesla, Space X, and the
Quest for a Fantastic Future by Ashlee Vance and you are into the second
chapter. – Amorella
2254 hours. I like the bio so far; looks
like it will be a good read. I enjoyed Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs, which
Kim also gave me a couple of years ago. Kim picked another interesting man of
the times for this year. I like the can do positive attitudes, plus I agree
with Musk, we have to colonize Mars. We have to have some human beings off this
planet before we accidently or otherwise discover a way to destroy our species
altogether. It just makes good sense.
