Notes - scroll / beginning ch.1 /

Sunday afternoon. You were surprised late morning when the postman showed up to deliver two packages. One was a flashlight, small with a powerful beam, and a vintage leather BookBook case from twelvesouth for your 12 inch MacBook. – Amorella

       1352 hours. Christmas came early.

Carol is watering trees as the weather is warmer than this morning. She also has the washer running. You hooked up the hoses once again for this late fall watering. – Amorella

1357 hours. I have to stop and check the wash.

You both have been out working in the yard since you brought home McD’s after going to Kroger’s. Carol stayed home to continue working, pulling leaves out of flower beds and shrubbery and watering sections of the yard, especially around trees and shrubs. – Amorella

1644 hours. We just came in – no more yardwork, at least not today. It is interesting having a leather book cover, I like the smell of an old library with older books. I moved my desktop folders and documents to the far right column only and squeezed them a bit smaller and I also stretched the bottom dock bar full length because it provides a better visual balance.

You are slowly taking full ownership of the machinery and case; nice bit of humor in the BookBook. You want to work on the draft of Chapter One. Each will have a title.

1657 hours. What about an Introduction and/or Preface?

We can come back to that. Each chapter will be its own document. We need a new folder, titled ‘New’ and add a new document, ‘Ch.1’, then we can begin. – Amorella

1711 hours. I have to convert the Pouch text from GMG.1 first. I converted the original Stuck to gather the info about Soki. This will take some time.

Scroll the GMG.1 sections in one document. Post. - Amorella

You had two nuked turkey wieners with a slice of Lite Velveeta on top in a coffee cup and some Doritos for supper. Carol also ate but you didn’t observe what it was. You watched NBC News and a “Blue Bloods”, took out the trash and are calling it a night because you are leaving to see Andy at Ameriprise in Worthington at ten, lunch with Kim after and then a visit with sister Cathy and Tod before stopping by the cemetery to see your gravestone and heading home. – Amorella

2026 hours. Good summary. I am not at all confident this automatic translation is going to work.

Let’s give it a whirl. – Amorella

2117 hours. Okay, I spent time moving from the left doc to the right, basically re-writing 75 words. So far no dialogue but it appears cleaner. Here is what I have single spaced here but double spaced there.

Chapter One
Untitled

This is the Soki. Three reasonable human beings are sitting in their older red striped white Cessna 421 Golden Eagle awaiting departure instructions from the Warren Detroit airport with a flight plan to Burke Lakefront in Cleveland after viewing this new year’s Detroit automobile show. Pyl Burroughs plunks down to the right of her brother, the  pilot, Blake Williams, while Pyl’s husband Justin rather tensely adjusted into the seat immediately behind Blake.

I am controlling the tone while you check the details because I am doing the observing. Do you follow? – Amorella

2125 hours. I do. You have to begin somewhere and it’s not yet into dialogue. I notice the change of vocabulary – this is interesting because I feel like I am reading the text from your editing perspective rather than my own. So far I am comfortable with this.

         Good. Post. - Amorella
