Notes - Monday at the beach /

Afternoon. You are sitting under a palm tree in the east lot of Publix near McD's near the bridge. You bought Egg McMuffins for lunch. Carol is on page forty-one of The House of Secrets by Brad Meltzer and Tod Goldman. The temperature is seventy-one and no clouds. Kim, Paul and the boys took a drive to Sarasota and Siesta Key in the morning and should return by mid-afternoon. Linda, Bill and Jean are supposed to come over for supper since this is the only time Jean can see everyone. You are feeling better after taking a pain pill about an hour ago. - Amorella

1358 hours. It was a beautiful but cool morning looking out over the Gulf with placid greenish white-capped waves topping the high tide. Sitting in the car is quite comfortable, more so than any place in the condo. Carol worked on trimming her email, etc., while I watched the senate hearing on CNN. Last night while Carol read I watched most of the film Scully with Kim and Paul after the boys went to bed. After supper we played games at the dining room table. Kim, Paul, Carol and Owen played a card game and I played checkers with Brennan. We had a lot of fun. It is quite enjoyable interacting with the boys, neither spent time with 'baby talk' and both do well with conversation; Owen is obviously better with a stronger vocabulary but I am quite proud to see/hear both engaging with adults on their own levels. Kim and Paul spend a lot of free time interacting positively with Owen and Brennan; it shows. We are quite proud of their parenting skills also. This is a fun trip. Going to Sarasota was on their agenda; we were wholeheartedly invited along but decided they deserve time for their own pleasurable family adventures. It was fun sitting around this morning although Carol decided to do a load or two of wash. We also relaxed and read the morning paper. (1420)

You have returned to the condo and quiet. You are sitting in the most comfortable chair in the place (to you with your back as it is) looking out at people, beach and still greenish water, ah, with a good sized sailboat sailing north with at least six adults showing on board. Post. - Amorella
