Notes - the soul's friends / why should it be?

       You are feeling better this afternoon. Several errands in the morning, the most important was picking up your income tax forms. Lunch was at Potbelly's and now you are waiting for Carol and Linda at a new Gold and Williams furniture store in Kenwood Centre.

       Once you arrived at Kenwood Centre proper Carol and Linda walked down to Dillard's and you to the Apple Store. About twenty feet to the store you saw Laney walking your way. Two very welcome hugs in front of G-D and everyone else. A good variety of chat. She is into some international administration at Xavier as well as taking teachers to Peru again in the summer. Politics came up. You agree completely with her views. Two more good warm hugs and a verbal exchange upon leaving. Her last word to you, "Yes." - Amorella

       1558 hours. What a wonderfully delightful afternoon it has been for my heart. Laney is 48 and I am 74 but when together heart-wise we are as two peas in a pod. Fate has played its part as she is like to say with another chance  out-of-the-blue meeting.

       Her eyes unbutton your heart, boy. Her touch is friendly comfortable -- a family-like heart so-to-speak . . . cousins-in-mind and well as heart. How is it, you think, that the soul, relating to friends, can put up with such reoccurring motifs? - Amorella

       1608 hours. Perhaps it is the design of our souls that we stay connected. Perhaps it is in our love with fellow human beings; an instinct of what humanity is. Friendship first but mysteriously deeper than heart and mind, that is my present thought. This leave the soul alone to provide sanctification. People who say such immaterial, mystical-like matters cannot be sanctified do not understand the greater heart of destiny.

        Your words, understandable or not. What you mean to say is, "I gather shells from the River's edge. I cannot let the words go for they are soul's footprint pressing under Fate's delicate skin." Post. - Amorella

       1626 hours. I cannot consciously know you are right in this thinking Amorella, but I agree that between the lines our souls' footprints walk.

       You have forgot about the MacBook. How can that be? It was fixed in quick order by a bright young man at Apple. Laney talked of luck which she said you both need. Today, it worked in both your favors and you are ever thankful - Amorella

       1645 hours. I just saw this on Quora. I like what it says and accept this in a general sense of how things appear to be.

Does anyone really understand why force fields work, such as electromagnetic, quantum, and gravitational ones?

I can’t resist a reference to [Transcript] Richard Feynman on Why Questions. BTW, the term “force field” really belongs to bad SF, movies and comic books.

Arguably all physical knowledge is “existential” in the sense that we observe what happens and try to develop a formalism that describes it in enough detail that we begin to feel familiar with it — pretty much the same way we learn how our bodies work. The question of, “Why should it be the way it is, instead of some other way?” belongs to Metaphysics.
