Late
afternoon. Carol and Linda are off on a walk about the neighborhood. You are
feeling better but weary as you have had two lower back spasm attacks; one this
morning and one this afternoon. - Amorella
1731 hours. This morning I had just sat down
on the side of the bed and was putting my legs up to lie down -- the lightning
hit. This afternoon I was getting up from the bedroom chair when the same
happened. The pain focus just out from the lower back as in a circle about
eight inches in diameter. Arrggg. I am better though and would like to bring my
mind back into editing and creating. We had lunch at Two Cities Pizza uptown;
delicious then while running an errand to the Tri-County (I-275 and Rt. 747)
area we had Graeter's once again for dessert. Then more errands and home.
1743 hours. I saw a note from my old friend and one time colleague, Bob F. He had a picture of him playing tennis at the British Club in Sao Paulo back in the very early seventies. Reminded me of Carol and my playing on the same clay courts. What days we had. I asked him if we played doubles with him and his wife Ann. He couldn't remember but he did say I taught him how to play chess. I liked the classy style and tone of the old British Club. I have long been an Anglophile -- I am not sure why.
It
is your love of British history and literature, in that order. It connects you
first to the British Empire and ancient Europe, classical Greece, Rome and
Egypt as well as India, China and Peru; all places the United States is not. Places
that were or are more real than the United States to you; that is to say their
cultural histories are older and that you feel that in a romantic way that your
ancient DNA covers most of those histories one way or another. - Amorella
1756 hours. I feel most all our DNA histories
cover all of the world. It make the world more personal to me. Homo sapiens are
the higher consciousness of the Earth. We are the nature of the Earth. The
United States or any one country looks pretty small in such a large field of
time and DNA space.
