Notes - tossing old papers / nearly spaceless /

Mid-afternoon. You had lunch at Smashburgers and are stopped at Kroger's on Tylersville and Cox Roads for milk. You did your exercises this morning and napped. Carol has been working on clearing out old home economics statements, papers from file cabinets, etc. - Amorella

1431 hours. Lots of people, various stages of dress, some young, some old, most look either focused or tired. Buying food is a necessity; it is still a hunting ritual.

You are home. Carol is back working in the office. - Amorella

1519 hours I need to go to the basement and clean out some of my own file cabinets -- almost all are writing notes, mostly since high school.

Why have you saved them. What preconceived good does this do you? - Amorella

1521 hours. I don't remember ever been asked this question before, at least not in this way. I mean, if it doesn't do me any preconceived good how can it do anyone else any good. Very old existing notes, papers, drafts, particularly in hard copy, are a waste of space.

Save your spiral handwritten notebooks especially those that predate and relate to this blog. Anything else can go, that's my advice. - Amorella

1527 hours. I'll go work on it. Good idea, Amorella. I'm sure Carol will be pleased.

       Post. - Amorella

1608 hours. I cleaned out the top file cabinet, 35 to 40 pounds of paper. I kept less than ten pounds, which I can work on at a later time. I told Carol I'll try to fill the large sturdy plastic bag once every week for trash day. I kept my poetry, sometimes several copies of poems. They are who I was in a nutshell along life's way.

You did keep a copy of your resignation letter from Indian Hill. - Amorella

1613 hours. I tossed a lot of stuff. Most of it memorable only to me.

That's true of the blog too. - Amorella

1628 hours. That's true also. It doesn't take up much space though and Kim can have the honor of hitting the delete button when I'm gone.

Don't you think Owen and Brennan will want to peruse the material sometime in their lives? - Amorella

1632 hours. I don't know. That's up to them; that's what I'll tell Kim if I haven't already. If one or both can glean something that will help them with their own self-reflections and personal life, fine. If not, they can hit the delete button or voice, "Delete, Siri", just as Kim or Paul can. It doesn't take up much space, that's the beauty of it, and as far as that goes, I won't either.
