Notes - on the beach / "No, ma'am."

Last night's sunset from Larry and Chris' condo at Madeira Beach:

Sunset on Tuesday, 13 June 2017

Later in the afternoon. Monday you had lunch at the P.J. Oyster Bar with Linda and Bill as well as Jean, James and their friend Mike. Tuesday lunch was at the Daiquiri Deck with Paul making spaghetti and sausage for supper. Today you had a not so good lunch at a new place. Kim, Paul and the boys have been spending mornings at the pool and afternoons on paddle boards then the pool. You and Carol have been relaxing by reading or watching selected shows on MSNBC. It has been raining mostly in late afternoon or evening; typical June in the St. Pete/Tampa area.

1657 hours. Carol just turned on MSNBC so we are watching the update on today's shootings.

       Post. - Amorella

2050 hours. Tonight -- "Washington Post: Special Counsel is [now openly] investigating Trump for possible 'Obstruction of Justice'. [Today, the FBI opened a separate investigating file on Trump and his potential obstruction of justice; a criminal offence.] Things are moving faster than I thought it would. I should turn off Chris Hayes on MSNBC (turned it on after sunset; alas no colorful photo tonight).

You cannot help being interested in the politics, boy. You and Carol are both passionate about your mostly democratic political leanings. - Amorella

2103 hours. For me it goes back to high school. Fritz and I were elected to go to a mock Republican Convention in our senior year -- 1960. I was a moderate Republican in those days, but by November I voted for Kennedy and have been mostly a democrat ever since. (After Bob Kennedy was assassinated we switched to work for Nelson Rockefeller.) I voted for Johnson and democrats mostly ever since because of their focus on helping public education much more than the Republicans do.

It goes back to your first consciousness of President FDR. Your grandparents (both sides) were Democrats as you remember it. - Amorella

2112 hours. They and my parents lived through the Great Depression and were concerned for the common man. Woody Guthrie and John Steinbeck helped me grow in this direction. I remain a romantic at heart.

You are a neoclassic at heart too, boy. Post. - Amorella

       2123 hours. Surely, not fifty/fifty.

The human heart is not measurable mathematically, nor is the soul, nor is the mind. - Amorella

2128 hours. You state this as if it were a fact.

Do you have a problem with this? - Amorella

2131 hours. No, ma'am. [I feel old sensations -- as if I need to back away from this 'Source', the Amorella, even though she is, I feel, in my head. This is not out of fear but out of profound spiritual respect.]

          I concur. - Amorella
