Mid-afternoon. You are empty nesters once
again after a week full of exuberant youthful energy, that is, all four, Kim,
Paul, Owen and Brennan. You just set up the outdoor circular table and
remaining one complimentary chair inside. You are facing the Gulf of Mexico's
green tinted sea fully sprinkled with white caps -- a few swimmers and sun
bathers on the approximate thirty-five foot deep beach one story below you. The
family left at ten after six this morning. You both had a quiet breakfast and
read the paper; Carol washed sheets from the guest room in preparation for
Linda, tonight or tomorrow night and for Alta and Craig on Tuesday. Carol chose
Frida's for lunch; you split a good sized turkey and cheese sandwich and you
each had an excellent dessert -- Carol had a raspberry biscotti sprinkled with mini-dressed
almond slices and you a singular two and a half inch diameter hard chocolate
thin-shelled chocolate mousse cake. Carol is reading on the living room couch
with MSNBC on in the background. - Amorella
1512 hours. There is a fair range of cumulus clouds piling above the
western horizon and scattered beyond the beach east to Tampa. The Gulf waters have
changed from green to mostly blue except for a lengthy patch about fifteen yards
out from the beach -- a lone seagull soaring north. I have yet to see a dolphin
but everyone else has seen several, not this time of day though. Quite a
relaxing scene.
Tonight from Meibers' condo.
