Late Saturday afternoon after a takeout
lunch from Potbelly's and dollar drinks from McD's you are sitting under the
shade of a large oak at Rose Hill relaxing. Carol is beginning Chapter Six of The
Brethren as she has been busy watering the lawn and other outdoor endeavors
throughout the day. Your legs, hip through ankle, both ache with general aging
while your back is less bothersome today. One of the varieties of seventeen
year locust is abuzz with hums like heard while standing under high tension
electric lines. - Amorella
1633 hours. I have a cousin, Jimmy and his wife Anne, who are in San
Antonio up from Rockport who are waiting to see if their house survived
Hurricane Harvey. Aunt Ruthie called around noon to tell me they were safe, but
still that would be a big thing, waiting to see if your house survived wind, water
and whatever else.
Carol decided to walk so you went home for
her walking shoes and now she's off on the shaded north trail at Pine Hill
Lakes Park while you sit facing west behind the hill of assorted trees. -

1713 hours. This is not as quiet as the cemetery. I keep hearing the two
stage buzzing of an electrical transformer in the nearby small city owned
garage and house on the property. I'm even sitting under some electric lines. Clear
blue skies and green leafed trees and shrubbery; very relaxing. We periodically
talk on moving or staying, neither of us has made up our minds -- always pros
and cons, but so far in our lives we have made a commitment to move to one location
or another and so far we have never regretted our moving or staying in place. This
next commitment preferable, at least from my perspective, be lifelong. We stay
until health conditions force us to move closer to Kim and Paul and a retirement center for the disabled, or
we move now to spend more time with Kim, Paul, Owen and Brennan and my sister's
family. The locust are here too. Life cycles, all living creatures have them.
You wonder if the Dead have cycles too. -
Amorella
1728 hours. It crossed my mind. Being physically dead sounds
interesting, always has. Once I'm dead I'll probably find something else to
wonder about in remaining heartansoulanmind, in spirit form.
What would you wonder about? - Amorella
1730 hours. I have no idea.
Yes, you do. - Amorella
1731 hours. What's next, for what reason, and for what purpose? That's
what pops up from the depths of the unconscious.
Don't you think most people would wonder
what their life had been for, for what reason, and for what purpose? - Amorella
1735 hours. Ha. That's funny. That didn't come up from anywhere inside.
It should have I suppose, but it didn't.
For you the question was no longer
necessary. You had moved on. It would be impractical to concern yourself with
what had been since you still existed although in spirit form only. - Amorella
1739 hours. Sounds just like me, Amorella. Yep, that's probably it.
Enjoy the rest of your evening. Post when
circumstances permit. - Amorella
1740 hours. Believe it or not, Carol just arrived at the car door from
her walk. I asked, "How was it?" Carol replied, "It was nice,
not too hot, and fairly quiet." -- She is now on page 81 and wants to
finish chapter six before heading home. -- Strange, I don't hear the
transformer any more, now it's just locust and crickets. We did see a groundhog
when we first drove onto the lot; he turned from us after being still, and
shuffled under the bushes by the house. I wonder what he thinks of us living Homo
sapiens periodically invading his personal private space?'
