You and Carol worked in the back yard
trimming bushes this morning. A leisurely lunch at Smashburgers then a long
ride through the countryside north of Mason on this sunny and pleasant afternoon.
Presently you are waiting for Carol who is shopping at the Kings Mill oriented
Kroger in northeast Mason. You watched a man climb out of his black SUV Porsche
and go into the store. In a 'flash' of recognition you said in surprise,
"That's Caesar, that's how Caesar looked in real life." You were
going by the famous bust. He was your first historic hero when you were in the
fifth grade. Your living hero was Churchill and though Roosevelt had died you
considered him a contemporary thus not historic. - Amorella
Later, 1613 hours. We are home and Carol is cooking. In the fifth grade
I knew of Washington and Lincoln and I was respectful of their lives, at least
as much as a fifth grader could be, but I never classified them as heroes like
Caesar had been. Eisenhower was that sort of hero but he was a liberator not a
conqueror. I was not a good student but by ninth grade I was ready to take
Latin for the two years Westerville High offered it because of my affection and
respect for Julius Caesar.
You are ready for bed. -

2239 hours. Obviously, I did not see Julius Caesar in the Kroger parking
lot. The joy I received from the 'flash' was that my imagination in the moment
made a realistic interpretation of how Caesar may have looked at one time in
his life, height, weight, skin, physical dimensions -- an ordinary human being.
I liked that. Caesar had been human just like the rest of us. Made me feel spontaneously
well as a person.
That's your explanation and it is not very
well stated. The joy was caused by your heart 'feeling' it was within close
proximity of someone who lived more than two millenniums ago. Your soul appears
to have agreed. Both let it pass almost unnoticed, but your mind caught it just
in 'time' so to speak. This is an example of your being here and not being here
at the same time. It is a subjective reality. Let it be as such. You have
nothing to lose but the spontaneous joy of surprise from time to time. No one
need know and you really will not speak of the 'event' because you and the
world both move on in a different sequence of time -- the heart and soul though
catch details that knowledge can only wonder on. - Post. - Amorella
