2222 hours. By the time Carol and I got
up Kim had a breakfast casserole of scrambled eggs and sausage and shredded
cheese almost ready to eat. We did not know the boys had to wait until we were
up before everyone took turns opening presents. This training was mastered by
Taekwondo master Paul and the boys Jujitsu practice. Besides, both boys look to
Yoda as one of the great masters of martial arts. Carol and I were quite
impressed. Growing up, Carol's family and my own just let us kids open presents
at will any time after six in the morning. Owen's favorite is a robot dog named
Chip. Brennan's appears to be a small white drone. Owen has a larger one. Both
were flying them about on the first floor with little problem. Both boys got
two science kits each (Carol and I supplied one for each). We also got Owen a
chess set. This afternoon he was showing Brennan how to set up and move the
pieces, but neither understands the power of each piece. One step at a time. Brennan
got more games and shoot-the-stubby-dart kind of guns. Owen also has another
robot called Cosmos. We don't know how it works, but the robo-dog can learn
things and can also stand on his head when the verbal command is given. The
extra surprise present was tickets to see "The Last Jedi" this morning at ten-thirty. We all loved it just
like most of the critics. Before we left the theatre both boys wanted to see it
again. Neither had seen a 3-D movie before. (2233)
You
are feeling bad because I usually start the almost daily posting. No need, boy.
You and Carol both had an exciting day with Kim, Paul, Owen and Brennan. This
evening Gayle also joined you for a dinner of ham and two veggies as well as
mashed potatoes and desserts brought over by their neighbors. Because you had
lower back pains you decided to come tonight. You spent most of last night in
their living room chair and felt that if you were going to spend tonight, most
of it anyway, in a chair it might as well be the one in your bedroom. You and Carol are also feeling better about
moving closer as you always seem to have a good time in their company. And,
they appear to have a good time too. - Amorella
2245 hours. I liked the film for use
of suggested metaphysical connections between characters. I also liked Luke's character
-- who was much like his own Jedi Master, Obi Wan. The boys loved it when Yoda
appeared and talked with Luke, and the sword fights which were again with
Taekwondo/Jujitsu-like moves. It has been a great day, one of the best family
Christmases in a long time.
Tomorrow
we will return to theatre in terms of you own metaphysics. - Amorella
2301 hours. I don't think of the
heartansoulanmind as metaphysics. I accept it as a greater (if you will)
natural phenomena.
Do
you mean you do not accept the concept that G-D's Grace exists? - Amorella
2305 hours. I do not know that it does, but I sense such Grace as real. I have
no problem capitalizing the word.
You
are not being completely honest, boy. - Amorella
2307 hours. Yes, I agree. I am
confused with what I know on a personal and private level, what I would
not deny to an Angel of G-D but would deny to members of my species. This is
quite awkward and somewhat embarrassing to admit that I would deny certain
private realities to my fellows but not to G-D.
The conflict: "Is our soul granted immortality by grace?
or
Is our soul's
immortality innate by nature?"
