Notes - the long and the short / I would hope

Mid-morning. Jill will arrive shortly to do housecleaning. You and Carol will leave her to it and head out on errands and the like. Last night this side of midnight you finished Brown's Origin. - Amorella

0956 hours. It was an enjoyable read and could become a nail-biting movie. I would like to get down to the basics of a book review but this blog is not about that, per se.

Here are the words you would otherwise be looking for but perhaps not finding. -- Amorella

Philosophy is the key to the intent of the book from my perspective. Nature is overcomplicated by religion. Keep religion simple and it may become more practical/useable than theological where people can change a religion because of a word or two in the dichotomy of its human purpose, not necessarily G-D's purpose. - Amorella

1250 hours. People have more the once purpose for doing something. I don't care what the personal goal is. I cannot create an E-computer like the main character who was trying to prove via a new kind of computer that he could project how human beings might turn out as a species. Philosophical concepts don't need computers and neither did Dan Brown, he needed background research -- the beauty of writing fiction. Where we came from and where we are going as a species is not too difficult to conclude even if we think we leave G-D out of the problem-solving. Thinking in itself is not theoretical reality, although it is organic as it is our nature. Hmm. Needs thought here.

Chaos theory
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chaos theory is a branch of mathematics and it is focused on the behavior of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions. 'Chaos' is an interdisciplinary theory stating that within the apparent randomness of chaotic complex systems, there are underlying patterns, constant feedback loops, repetition, self-similarity, fractals, self-organization, and reliance on programming at the initial point known as sensitive dependence on initial conditions. The butterfly effect describes how a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state, e.g. a butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil can cause a hurricane in Texas.

Small differences in initial conditions (such as those due to rounding errors in numerical computation) yield widely diverging outcomes for such dynamical systems—a response popularly referred to as the butterfly effect—rendering long-term prediction of their behavior impossible in general. This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future behavior is fully determined by their initial conditions, with no random elements involved. In other words, the deterministic nature of these systems does not make them predictable. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos. The theory was summarized by Edward Lorenz as:

Chaos: When the present determines the future, but the approximate present does not approximately determine the future.

Chaotic behavior exists in many natural systems, such as weather and climate. It also occurs spontaneously in some systems with artificial components, such as road traffic. This behavior can be studied through analysis of a chaotic mathematical model, or through analytical techniques such as recurrence plots and Polincare maps. Chaos theory has applications in several disciplines, including meteorology, anthropology, sociology, physics, environmental science, computer science, engineering, economics, biology, ecology and philosophy. The theory formed the basis for such fields of study as complex dynamical systems, edge of chaos  theory, and self-assembly processes.

1441 hours. In Brown's story the main character invented/built an E-wave machine rather than the below article D-wave quantum computer. Actually, what Brown wrote was okay by me because I was already into the concept which is elsewhere in the blog. (Where do we go as a potential species?)  What I mean is that his story is plausible which makes it good.

Quantum computing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quantum computing is computing using quantum-mechanical phenomena, such as superposition and entanglement. A quantum computer is a device that performs quantum computing. They are different from binary digital electronic computers based on transistors Whereas common digital computing requires that the data be encoded into binary digits (bits), each of which is always in one of two definite states (0 or 1), quantum computation uses quantum bits, which can be in superpositions of states. ant quantum Turing machine is a theoretical model of such a computer, and is also known as the universal quantum computer. The field of quantum computing was initiated by the work of Paul Benioff (de) and Yuri Manin  in 1980, Richard Feynman in 1982, and David Deutsch in 1985. A quantum computer with spins as quantum bits was also formulated for use as a quantum spacetime in 1968.
As of 2017, the development of actual quantum computers is still in its infancy, but experiments have been carried out in which quantum computational operations were executed on a very small number of quantum bits. Both practical and theoretical research continues, and many national governments and military agencies are funding quantum computing research in additional effort to develop quantum computers for civilian, business, trade, environmental and national security purposes, such as cryptanalysis. A small 16-qubit quantum computer exists and is available for hobbyists to experiment with via the IBM quantum experience project. Along with the IBM computer a company called D-Wave has also been developing their own version of a quantum computer that uses a process called annealing.
Large-scale quantum computers would theoretically be able to solve certain problems much more quickly than any classical computers that use even the best currently known algorithms, like integer factorization using Shor's algorithm or the of quantum many-body systems simulation. There exist quantum algorithms, such as Simon's algorithm,  that run faster than any possible probabilistic classical algorithm. A classical computer could in principle (with exponential resources) simulate a quantum algorithm, as quantum computation does not violate the Church-Turing thesis. On the other hand, quantum computers may be able to efficiently solve problems which are not practically feasible on classical computers.

Up from your nap. More errands to run this evening, and some shopping at Macy's  and the big man shop since you have end of year coupons. - Amorella

1658 hours. You always bring in the most trivial of daily events.

While you are still here to enjoy them, boy. Post. - Amorella

2240 hours. If you know my spirit, my heartansoulanmind, so well, what is it that I might miss most about life after being physically dead, theoretically speaking, of course?

Where did this question come from, my man? - Amorella

2243 hours. I really don't know, it just hit me -- a question out of nowhere.

You are curious and are also testing me. - Amorella

2245 hours. I forgot to be more polite or tactful, though I assume even if you a part of my humanity, by accidently crossed organic wires perhaps, and no angel, a touch of defiance surfaced. If you were a direct part of the Angel of G-D, I feel I might want to be defiant but would know better intuitively, and keep my thoughts to myself (knowing this would be futile). (2251)
2253 hours. How could I ever test the Angel of G-D? I test myself. I see I am being defiant though I am not sure why.
Here is some enlightenment for you. You would miss being yourself first. - Amorella
2256 hours. I never can anticipate what you are going to say.
I wonder why that is, my friend? - Amorella
2258 hours. Now, this raises my level of consciousness while at the same time I feel this is a time to step back a step or two within myself and be a bit more reverent and humbled. (2300)
You see, you are presently not being yourself. - Amorella
2302 hours. You zero in on the bottom of my heart, Amorella.
That is deep enough to stir some personal reflection. Post. - Amorella
2304 hours. This is how it is to confront the Amorella. Angel or no, there are no lightning bolts and later thunder. I am put in the humble place of heart alone. My soul and mind seem misplaced within my own thoughts. In such cases (experiences) as this I feel I understand more of what it would be like if I were standing with a real Angel nearby.         I feel touched. (2310)
A very delicate position your imagination has put you in. Rest in peace. - Amorella
2312 hours. I would hope to wake up and greet the new day.

You have answered your own question. Now post. - Amorella
