Notes - problem resolved / moral strength / the light?

Early afternoon. It has been a rather nondescript day outwardly and inwardly. - Amorella

1329 hours. My dear friend Bob Pringle used to say of himself, "I was a slug," on such days; an apt description to be sure. I have been as a slug and so has the day so far, at least in our locally owned surrounds.

You have been reading, playing with the cat, checking email, reading Quora, chatting with Carol on a variety of subjects, taking a nap, doing your usually sparse household chores as you see or run into them. - Amorella

       1336 hours. That's pretty sluggish.

You did decide to let the 'alien' question go as nonsense as you cannot really imagine aliens or alien machinery coming anywhere near Earth other than by accident. - Amorella

1339 hours. Now that would be funny -- a comedy of errors . Perhaps the machinery would be terrified of all sorts of human behaviors both reasonable, irrational, and pure emotional -- the human spirit, the heartansoulanminds of human beings, not the physical aspects. If I were such an alien machine with consciousness I would be frozen in place. I'll let it go. Such an alien machine could not comprehend silliness let alone humor; both silliness and humor would be as misplaced modifiers not nouns thus terrible translations. Plus, it would be interesting to see how machine language developed elsewhere, perhaps a grammar based of simple to exotic shapes for expression of emotion for survival and comfort.

You had a late lunch at Panera/Chipotle and Carol bought a watch, a simple woman's Timex, just what she wanted, and the reason inherent in why she earlier turned down an Apple watch from Kim and Paul for Christmas. While waiting in the Target lot you read more about the Honda Accord Hybrid coming out in Spring. The problem is the interior does not look any roomier than your 2005 Accord. - Amorella

1650 hours. We have plenty of time before we trade in the Avalon. It will be hard to beat the comfort and performance of the car. No matter what new car we eventually go with. A plug in model, at least presently, seems to be the best way to go. When we go to the 'electric' aspects of the house in a couple of weeks I'll have to decide whether to get the 30 amp converter (EVSE) hook up in the garage for the car charger. This calls for a 40 amp circuit breaker at the garage. -- After doing more research I'll be fine without a Level 2 EVSE. Ten hours on a 15 amp at night will more than charge a plug in car. All we have to do is plug the car in before bed. That should not be difficult. -- Now I have to decide if a plug in is worth the price when a regular up to date hybrid will do just fine. Any hybrid getting about fifty miles per gallon for a retired couple should do us, unless we buy a plug in more for the environment than anything else. (1745)

These 'facts' will change, but I agree, boy, you don't need anything but a separately wired 15 amp circuit to the garage. - Amorella

1747 hours. M/I should be able to do that for very little extra money.

A possible practical problem is hereby resolved. Post. - Amorella

Amy K. called and will care for the Jadah and Spooky Monday and Tuesday; to reciprocate you will take care of their new kitten next Saturday through Tuesday. - Amorella

2114 hours. That works well. The Kings have been great neighbors for the last 25 years; we are going to miss one another when we move north. Our local dynamics and social habits will certainly change with living in a new neighborhood, at least most everyone will be fairly new to the specific locale of Sanctuary at the Lake.

All for tonight, post. - Amorella

2125 hours. I wish I had something to say, Amorella. I don't carry on well with conversation; nothing much going on. No doubt I am a rather boring person.

You are not here to entertain me, boy. There is nothing wrong with rest and relaxation. What do you think the Dead do (at least in the stories)? - Amorella

2130 hours. I suppose they rest. A spirit can't be in conversation or at get-togethers indefinitely. It is not our nature.

The spirit is naturally at rest, more like your two cats resting some twenty-one or so hours most every day. The work for the spirit is in its use of consciousness, at least it is so in your Merlyn and other books. That's a consistency. The spirit is in the dark except when lit. A mighty wind might pass over a sleeping spirit  and it will not stir. - Amorella

2137 hours. I know you are not being literal, but what would be such a mighty force to flow over, under or through a sleeping spirit?

Peace, young man. Such is a force not one spirit will sense. - Amorella

2140 hours. I cannot imagine such a force [moral strength].

** **
force - noun

1 strength or energy as an attribute of physical action or movement: . . .

2 coercion or compulsion, especially with the use or threat of violence: . . .

3 mental or moral strength or power: . . .

2151 hours. I added to my interpretation above in brackets from the dictionary definition.

In here, only the spirit recognizes its existence. Post. - Amorella

2207 hours. We have a phrase: "Rest in Peace".

** **
rest - nouna motionless state.

peace - noun -  serenity.

Think as this: the motionless state is the floor, frame and roof; serenity is the inner space between; the nails holding the spirit house are the moral force. Peace moves within creating doors and windows. All one then needs is the light. - Amorella

2230 hours. The light to shine or the light to rise up?

         Post. - Amorella
