Notes - Homer / Victoria / Midsomer Murders / F-F.19

Late evening. You had a busy morning with an errand and a late lunch, a Papa John take out. When you arrived thinking you would find Homer in charge you were met by Mike W. the new in-charge manager of your local Papa John's. Homer had gotten a promotion and is now in charge of a region of Papa John's. Mike introduced himself and said Homer said to treat you with special care. He shows himself every bit a manager in charge and it was a good first meeting. You feel badly that you did not say good-bye directly to Homer you are still Facebook friends. - Amorella

2309 hours. I have known Homer as manager for at least twelve years, maybe longer. Our large half works, half veggie pizza was always in the excellent range in terms of looks, composition, texture and taste; always. Mike's pizza today continues the same recipe. Wow. We much appreciate those who work at our local Pizza Hut and order a large half works, half veggie at least once every two weeks we are in town. Tomorrow I will sit down and write Homer a kind thank you for how politely and sincerely we have been treated over these years and of course how excellent their pizza is to us.

You are suddenly embarrassed to have shown such interest in a manager and his pizza, but you have known and chatted with him on family matters and the like, you both are mutually friendly. What bothers you most is that you don't really give a damn what anyone thinks here, you give a damn for exposing yourself over what many would consider a non-event, the leaving of a pizza manager because of a promotion . . . just wish the fellow well and move on. - Amorella

2323 hours. We watched several hours of television this cool and rainy day, a new two hour presentation of "Victoria", two older but unseen episodes of a usually weekly series and ending with a "Midsomer Murders" after the national news. Then I read chapter nineteen from Fire and Fury.

Chapter Nineteen is a long and very intense and demanding chapter. Quite to the point(s), perhaps the best written chapter in the book so far. Lots of facts, lots of details and innuendos concerning the usual main characters. Much centers on the now famous meeting with the Russian on perhaps getting dirt on Hillary Clinton plus what happened before and after. Watching all this play out on the news ever since is one thing but to see this concisely dropped into a single chapter is excellent writing. I riveted on every word like I hadn't seen any of this before. Wow.
