Mid-morning.
Another sunny day. You and Carol are waiting for a call from McSwain, assuming
you will not be first on their list today. Yesterday was busy. Carol spent much
of the time trying on clothes and deciding what to keep and what to give to
Good Will or elsewhere. Lots of boxes some full, others half full and a few
empty set about in family room, office and kitchen until the carpet is
installed. Yesterday the drive was uneventful for you and the cats and once at
Kim and Paul's they began to relax and enjoy the area and Kim's attention. The
first thing Jadah did was use the litter station and within a short time she
found Ellie's litter box and used it defying Ellie to do anything about it.
Ellie hissed and Jadah hissed back. Spooky was nowhere to be seen. That was the
confrontation. You conversed with Kim for about an hour then she was taking a
conference call. You left, stopped by to see the house and really liked the
Anderson windows and glass door that are the almost full north wall of the sun
room, very picturesque with a small plot of pasture-like land with trees at the
north and along the northwest side in the near distance. - Amorella
1014 hours. The carpet installers arrived
about fifteen to twenty minutes ago and are busy with tearing out the carpet
after moving the heavy furniture out of the room. This is the last major
project before the final prep for the "showing". I woke up thinking that
a "showing" is really not fake because that is what it is. Everyone
knows it is a 'show', like marching the troops in a parade. Some people
probably show up for such things just to get ideas for what they can do to
their own house . . . a real life HGTV. I don't think things through sometimes.
People know what is fake, most people do, and watch/enjoy for the
entertainment, much as we watch Rachel Maddow because we can do nothing about
it anyway. Basically, capitalism drives shows through advertising. It is not
politics it's the culture.
You ran to McD's for drinks and two
chocolate chip cookies as the refrigerator is blocked with living room
furniture. They are installing the new carpet. -Amorella
1137 hours. At least it is clean more than I
can say for the twenty-six year old one taken out. It looked clean to me but I'm not good
with these things unless it is noticeable. A certain amount of dust, etc.,
seems reasonable when you are dealing with people and how they live. I never
understood how to use dirty as in 'the carpet is dirty'. I'm sure there are a
variety of levels of dirt -- use 'slight' or 'very' or 'very, very' (like
Trump). They are working on the steps. Carol is playing Sudoku on her phone. Kim
just sent a note that she is bringing donuts (Schneider's) for the weekend. Good.
