Mid-morning. Woke up. Had a long bubble bath, breakfast and the Sunday paper. Your focus is gathering the statistics for the 2005 Honda Accord for comparison to the 2013 Ford Fusion and Accord – all the dimensional and engine aspects. You have almost given up the idea of buying a new car because of the expense (which in your and Carol’s mind, might not be justified).
Our 2003 Accord has 126,000 miles on it and we are taking it to Florida this week. It has had all the timely check-ups and maintenance done; no mechanical problems are foreseen, new tires. I’ll have it cleaned inside and out before we go. We got 28 miles per gallon on the trip from Cleveland. Carol is ready for a walk I’ll sit in the Pine Hill parking lot and do my exercises when we return – it is supposed to be in the nineties today.
Mid-afternoon. You had lunch at Smashburgers and are waiting on Carol at Kroger’s on Tylersville. Earlier you spent about an hour working up the necessary specifications on your Honda and have already discovered the 2013 Fusion is actually larger all the way around on the interior seat-wise front and rear. The eco-boost is not nearly as strong though as your Honda zips from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, the Ford is 8.2 or so. Yours is 15.3 sec. @ 95.7 mph in a quarter mile and the Fusion is 16.2 @ 88 mph. Of course you have a VTEC V6 and the Ford’s are inline 4’s. You have to be careful comparing apples and oranges, boy. – Amorella
The interior seating is better in the 2005 Honda than in the Prius V so it appears the Ford beats out the Prius anyway. The specs remind me that a car is still what it is whether it is five or ten years old the specs drop a common element that doesn’t change too much.
You were thinking about the soul specs as you were writing, and have decided they are not built for change in the heartanmind are what they are no matter what dimensions the body is. But, in here the human spirit, that is the totality of the individual’s heartansoulanmind, is measurable by one’s enthusiasm and passion. Merlyn’s character is an excellent example of this. – Amorella
What about those our culture label as psychotics and psychopaths? There is a character, Camrasel, a marsupial in Pouch Text, book two, who is somewhat that way.
Camrasel is not a psychopath, orndorff. – Amorella
I looked up ‘Psychosis’ in the following medical dictionary and in the definition and lists Camrasel appears to have a ‘delusional disorder’.

Psychosis
Definition
Psychosis is a symptom or feature of mental illness typically characterized by radical changes in personality, impaired functioning, and a distorted or nonexistent sense of objective reality.
Delusional disorder
The exact cause of delusional disorder has not been conclusively determined, but potential causes include heredity, neurological abnormalities, and changes in brain chemistry. Some studies have indicated that delusions are generated by abnormalities in the limbic system, the portion of the brain on the inner edge of the cerebral cortex that is believed to regulate emotions. Delusional disorder is also more likely to develop in persons who are isolated from others in their society by language difficulties and/or cultural differences.

Are you saying enthusiasm and passion in heartansoulanmind for a delusion is a reality? – Amorella
No, I am saying that is the delusion is not a reality. Camrasel acts on a delusion.
Acting on delusions is somewhat human is it not? – Amorella
Yes, at times, somewhat. (I sense a hangman’s humor rising here.)
It’s your own, boy. Post. - Amorella
My thoughts fall away and I pause to form a slight twist of smile. Such is gallows humor.
