Notes - on GEFS / + for Boot Camp /

0808 hours. It is a dreary, cold morning. I am not much settled to write. Besides, I have nothing to say.

You have been working the GEFS (not on Google Earth) and you find it works much better. You could even take off from Burke as well as Ashtabula County Airport. In a bit you will be off to Best Buy for a return and hopefully find a compatible joystick at MicroCenter in Sharonville.

I was toying with buying a flight simulator, the X-Plane 9; it is an older version but it should work. The salespeople at MicroCenter know their stuff. Before the Apple Store we bought all of our computers there from the 1990's on. I like this Google Earth Flight Simulator. It is more like the old simulators which is just fine with me. I realize this is a diversion from writing but if I continue to use the plane in flight in the books; basically it makes the concept of flight more real so that I can get into the heads of Blake and Pyl. (It is almost always more fun to pretend to be someone else other than myself.)

Another honest bit thrown out. Why do you think this is orndorff, that you would rather be someone else, someone you can conjure up, can imagine? - Amorella

I really don't know, and I don't really care. If it is useful in writing stories then so be it. The real 'me' is sitting here with the keyboard at my fingertips.

No question about that, boy. Post. - Amorella

Late mid-afternoon. You have begun Boot Camp integration and are presently downloading Windows software needed. If everything works then you will 'play' your flight simulator on the PC within the Mac. Earlier you found the DVD and pilot manual/ software for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 which when researched you found could be successfully used on Boot Camp. While at MicroCenter you found yokes and pedals for flight sim play. - Amorella

If all goes right then I'll buy another joystick. The yoke and pedals got me thinking about it again though. At Amazon I can still get the newest old version of MSFS-X but I can practice on what I have with the Cessna 182S that is already in the FS-2000 program. There is a Cessna 210 out there for the MSFS somewhere because I saw it demonstrated on YouTube. That would be very cool. For now though I really don't need all that. It would be just a fun subdivision of novel writing.

Post. Carol wants to watch a DVRed program and you are still downloading software for the PC. - Amorella
