Mid-morning. You and Carol had breakfast and
read the Sunday paper. Carol is on the phone with one of her sisters. You are
upstairs in your black bedroom chair, feet up in black wool-lined slippers on,
chair back slightly with a small green pillow under your head for reading ease
as your MacAir is setting on a slightly larger burnt orange pillow on your lap. You have on an
old tan sweatshirt (a Jadah the Cat favorite for warmth) and a thin pair of
light gray running pants you use as sleepwear. The raindrops outside are
striking the window heavy like when water is about to turn to ice. The trees
already have a light dressing of ice on their long otherwise naked limbs. The
late winter sky is a mottled gray skycap. What to do first is your question. –

hours. I cannot remember the last time I began a sentence with a noun clause.
I concluded my paragraph with a noun clause
used as the subject; I assume you are referring to my concluding sentence. –

It
is time for a nap.
1136 hours. I can’t believe it. I sleep for about an hour
and the ground is already snow covered; and Carol is still on the phone. Slow
falling flakes with the slight breeze carrying the snow from the south. I
thought it wasn’t going to snow until after four this afternoon. Time to fill
the bird feeders. A quick check on the Net and another reality hits.

Ukraine announces a full military mobilisation in response

Olympic sports safer, why not politics?
What
planet are you on, boy? War is what makes people free. – Amorella
Alas, for this there appears no good
answer.

Tonight, according to Hoyle, you are having
pizza; Papa John’s specifically, a large half veggie half works – half for tonight
and half for tomorrow. Carol is cutting coupons. Post. - Amorella
Late
afternoon. The light snow is beginning to fall in earnest. You and Carol had
scrambled eggs and ham and a piece of bakery bread for lunch while you watched
PBS Dayton’s “This Old House” from last Thursday. You have begun setting the
final copy of GMG.One in Page for a runoff. You are beginning Chapter Six with
your tweaking. – Amorella

hours. I realize that this set up will not be exactly cricket for the ebook but
I want the draft in the format of a book. Right now I’m going to take a break.
I am not setting the style format; it is straight font size 11 for my uses. I
also cut the *** out at conclusions and in the text I dropped them from three
to one. I like the minimalist look.

hours. I have through chapter sixteen completed. Time for a break.
You had leftover turkey vegetable soup for
supper instead of pizza (because of the weather) and a piece of bakery
multigrain bread. The storm is not so bad as originally predicted because it
dropped lower. You are to have between two and six inches by morning. You also
have a doctor’s appointment late morning. You completed your first round of the
entire book today. Tomorrow you want to go over it one more time before
printing a copy for final proofing. – Amorella

hours. Carol is up watching the Oscars. I may watch a program or two tonight – “Revolution”
and/or “Grimm”. I am glad I finished the first draft of the final draft and
tomorrow after completing the second draft I ought to just go ahead and run it
off. Then comes the real work.
You are maturing as a writer, boy, but then
what choice did you have? – Amorella
I
always have new things to learn Amorella. I can live with it.
