Dusk-like.
Paul is visiting a friend and Kim, Carol and the boys are at the park. After
lunch at Max and Erma’s Paul suggested you and he go to Best Buy and look at
the TV’s. Kim decided she and the boys were going too. So, Carol joined in and
before you left Kim and Paul had bought you the Sony 3D Smart 50w800B set and
you bought the Sony 3D Blu Ray and the Sony Sound Bar with wireless subwoofer.
The Blu Ray was twenty dollars off and Paul got them to give you the high speed
cables, normally fifty-nine dollars for free, plus free shipping and pick up of
the old TV on Wednesday. You and Carol are delighted with your choices and the
kindness of your daughter and son-in-law – Christmas six months early. You have
a corner TV table to look for and that’s it. Two wires and three power cords,
what a change from what you have now. Paul put a thousand on his card and you
put five-eighty something on your card for one bill total.
You and Carol had a light supper at Panera south of Westerville proper with Linda, Mary Lou, Gayle and Ralph. Afterward you spent more than an hour chatting before heading back to Kim and Paul's where you saw Kim and stopped at the park by the water tower just off Cheshire Road.
Everyone
came back from the park. Owen came in and had fun with you while Brennan stayed
outside with Kim and Carol. You both had a good time playing “robot” and
reading two books and when you said, “Owen Papa is seventy-two,” Owen replied, “What
the heck,” several times. Finally he went out to tell his mother that you were
really old.
2124 hours. Another half hour or so of play after the bath. It is
nice being a Papa. I didn’t think I would like it and I was wrong, happily
wrong.
