Notes - goings on / is or is not? / ch. 7 updated /

6 January 15

2201 hours. We had a very good last night and today at Kim and Paul’s. We came home after eating lunch at Panera near the crossroads Rt. 23 (Columbus Pike) and Rt. 750 north of Columbus. Thursday we are up again into Saturday. Tonight we had half of a Papa John pizza (half works, half veggie) and watched Sunday’s “Masterpiece Theatre: Downton Abbey” and “CSI”. Carol’s turned the light out, so it is time for bed.

Save this and add to tomorrow’s post. – Amorella

7 January 15

Before noon. You did fifty minutes of exercises today and are feeling pretty good about it. And, on Friday you are going to lunch at the Amish restaurant off of I-71 between Massillon and Columbus to see David and Marsha. No snow today, but the temperature is a cool five degrees above.

1158 hours. I am looking forward to tomorrow through Saturday. Seeing old friends and family is always fun. I really need to work on book two. I am getting uncomfortable not focusing.

I'll be nearby, boy. Post. - Amorella

Earlier you and Doug had a conversation of the shapes of a nebulae and Doug reminded you of how Lowell made a mistake on the canals of Mars. You agree. Then you diverged into the meaning of shapes as seen below.

Doug,

Perhaps shapes don't mean that much in themselves but 'branching' is certainly a part of how life is -- well, it is how humans view aspects of physics as well as bio-physics. For instance, I wonder what shape has to do with consciousness -- that is any body that has consciousness and how biological shape sets up a focus line as far as consciousness goes. I am thinking here that what does it take for consciousness to develop a metaphysical system -- reason alone?

Maybe what I am trying to say is that I wonder what shape reason would be if it were a three-dimensional system? Like a tree, for instance -- and branching -- or first 'trunking'. You would have your roots in numbers and words? Would there be two parallel trunks? How would the (tunneling) / branching be set up? Is a nebulous cloud like the shape of a thought? Is the word 'peace' shaped the same as the word 'war'?

Weird wonderings  -- on shapes and systems   ;-) What do you think?

Doug’s responds:

Dick, I would think shape should have a powerful influence on things. Words and thoughts may have a shape at least in the mind of the thinker. Good concept to ponder. Just a thought. Some physicists think that the red shift is caused by age and not by speed, which would mean the universe is not expanding but in fact may be contracting!

Food for thought on reality.

Just a note here, what if the red shift is caused by shape of the universe, orndorff? – Amorella

1356 hours. How could that be? I think the universe is basically flat. Besides, I don’t agree with those physicists who think the universe is shrinking. What you are suggesting, at least to me, is that the shape of the universe is basically funnel shaped, and that only goes out so far then is sucked back into Something or Nothing.

Atoms only go so far. The Big Bang doesn’t have to be that big that it goes on forever does it? What about all the other universes out there? You suggest they are as Xmas tree lights. They go out when there is no more power. Cut the power and what’s the difference if you discount time (and space)? – Amorella

         1406 hours. I don’t know.

Shape would depend on what dimension it is in. Like Doug says, the thought would take a shape in the mind of the thinker. The mind of the receiver of the thought would give the thought herorhis own shape. It is not the same thought in terms of shape and may not be the same thought at all. – Amorella

1409 hours. This is a disturbing thought.

Perhaps what people think the universe is, scientifically, is not, scientifically. If some people think the red shift shows the universe is shrinking and other people think the red shift shows the universe is expanding maybe both are wrong. That’s the point here. – Amorella

1413 hours. This sounds like a logical fallacy Amorella.

Sometimes so do you, boy, but are you? – Amorella

1417 hours. My thinking is not clear.

         Later, dude. Post. - Amorella

1709 hours. I have read over chapter seven and have made several minor corrections. I am ready to tackle chapter eight.

Go over the last three segments once again, then we will move into segment one, “The Dead - Eight”. Post. – Amorella
