Notes - a spot of blue / timelessness

0929 hours. The Sunday morning paper is read and I did some household chores. I need to focus not on souls or Angels but Merlyn and let other matters fall where they may. For one I need to fill the bird feeders as cold weather will be moving in for a week. I was observing them out the south windows while setting the TV channels for the week – some new shows, some not. Tim and Amy gave us some suet blocks for Xmas – it does keep the squirrels from eating it. Three of them were in a fumbling way working together to topple the bird feeder but were not success and will not be as long as the wires are held in place I am happy to see. Jadah is sitting under the bare Xmas tree looking forlorn for who knows why. Spooky is out pestering Carol who is in the dining room reading the paper. We have a bright sun from the south but dark clouds are moving in from the north. The rains have let up though. Today we still have water in our run near the back of our west property, yesterday the water was a foot to two feet high and rolling though like a mighty streamlet – fun to watch. Spooky is checking out the birds in the front window bushes and Jadah appears to be waking up from her nap and is busy cleaning her face. Cats are interesting creatures to watch, independent characters no question about it. I need to be thinking about my forty minute exercises.. No more words.

None expected, boy. I see one spot of blue midst the dark clouds you’ve been watching. Later, dude. Post. - Amorella

2208 hours. I just finished chapter 19, which is mostly about pre-bacteria, microbes and the evolutionary beginnings of earth life in very small pieces and segments. The greater since of ‘miracle’ is that the universe is here at all. Once that happened things could fall into their own place with time and eventually something else would happen if you waited long enough. Everybody knows things happen everyday. Why would it have ever been any different? We are very short lived creatures and thus do not have time for the boredom that would have ensued. Is can be from the birth of a solar system to right now. Or even from the creation of physical matter to the present is an ‘is’ – all present.

Now here is something you can use in your appreciation of a human soul, in these books. Everything is an ‘is’ still, that is in as in Nothing is. There is a starting point. – Amorella

2220 hours. Okay, are you saying existing is timeless?

If it is pre-physics then existing is timeless. – Amorella

2222 hours. It would seem then that a soul cannot know time.

That is the case in here. – Amorella

2224 hours. Keeping it simple then; the main conscious difference between the heart and the soul and the mind and the soul is that time does not exist.

The use of the word ‘eternal’ has a sense of this but not in a personal context with a heart and mind. At least this will be the focus. – Amorella

2227 hours. Would this then mean that from the soul’s perspective science/physics is not true?

Not completely true. What is the difference – people need water but they do not survive long breathing it into their lungs. If in the mind/body problem it could be proven that the mind exists outside the body, then the mind would have more in common with the soul that the heart – that is a mutual understanding of how things are could be accepted, possibly. – Amorella

2232 hours. So, in the story, Merlyn learns more about the soul from his mind than from his heart.

Something to keep in mind. Tomorrow, because Kim needs Carol to watch Brennan, who is ill with a cold, on Tuesday because she has a special conference call with a client, you are going to Kim and Paul’s tomorrow afternoon, stay overnight, watch Brennan in the morning while she does her work, then have lunch together and come home Tuesday afternoon.
