Notes - honest ground / definition / clarity /

Mid-afternoon. You are sitting in the black bedroom lounger with the foot-stand up. Jadah is sitting on the end of the bed by Carol’s covered with a blanket feet and she is sleeping. Earlier she spent time working up some of Alta’s Arizona turkey soup for supper. Earlier, you had your doctor’s appointment and all is well. Dr. Merling is pleased your A1c is lower than it has been. You had a good chat with some laughs along the way. Dr. Jeff and you get along quite well; you usually do with the medical doctors in your life. So, what’s your question? – Amorella

1441 hours. Yesterday, in my imagination on the posting I had the angelic figure asking me questions because it didn’t and doesn’t seem proper to ask an imaginary angel (or any angel) my questions.

What possible questions could you have for an angel, theoretical or otherwise? – Amorella

         1445 hours. I don’t have any questions.

Don’t you think this is strange? – Amorella

1446 hours. Somewhat. I haven’t really thought about it. I figure (culturally) that Angels do the asking to help the Dead live better in peace, that is, an Angel’s job (from a human standpoint) is to comfort and help people better see themselves from the inside out so that they may better adjust to their circumstance in being dead as opposed to living.

Then why would a theoretical angel approach the Living at all? – Amorella

1451 hours. Culturally (social/religious) an Angel approaches the Living to give a message. I think of the Angel directing Adam and Eve from the Garden in Paradise Lost. In real life why would an Angel give a message to the people when people already have the gift of Free Will? It doesn’t make sense to intervene with an angelic question or statement or directive either. “Go forth, out of Eden,” would be understood by Adam and Eve, for instance, intuitively. The stories of Angels don’t make proper sense. Besides that, any Angel worth his salt, so to speak, would know there would be a very good chance the earthling spoken to would misinterpret the message. Even in science fiction the dialogue between earthling and alien would always be open to misinterpretation. . . . Besides, it all comes down to knowing nothing or next to it. That’s the earthlings’ bottom line (at least in terms of the metaphysical).

This post and the previous are themed with elements of  “Theoretical Metaphysics”. How is that? - Amorella

1525 hours. That’s funny. I should change the Merlyn books to Theoretical Metaphysics rather than Literary Fiction or just plain Fiction. Who would have thought “theoretical metaphysics”? It actually sounds like a fun class. I’d take it if it were offered. – In real life theologians might not take to the word ‘theoretical’ and ‘creative’ might be used in its place. Theologians might not like that either, actually, creative metaphysics might even be more offensive. It was a fun idea anyway.

A darker thought suddenly appeared and you are trying to suppress it. – Amorella

1537 hours. I don’t know why it popped up. I’m not quite sure how to express the concept.

Theoretical and Creative Metaphysics is a human conduit in which the world’s theological philosophies might show off their works. – The awkwardness of this first draft concept shows it is entirely my own.

Your focus, Boy, should be on the spiritual not the worldly, don’t you think? – Amorella

1556 hours. I think by trying to suppress the thought it is one I am not comfortable venturing into. I don’t think of it as either spiritual or worldly. The concept, as I view it, is much smaller than that – I would rather the spiritual be separate from the theoretical and creative process though I don’t have a clue as to how such would be accomplished.

At least you are now on honest ground. Post. - Amorella

1753 hours. I don’t know how else to begin but by definition.

I, the Amorella, suggest you delete ‘spiritual’ from religious in this contextual use.

1802 hours. I was debating on what to do here but you simplified it very quickly. Thank you. However, holy, divine and sacred stay?

Religions can be holy, divine and sacred. The point here is focusing on defining spiritual as separate from religious, is it not? – Amorella

         1806 hours. Yes.

You do not need Wikipedia on this; the fewer words the better. – Amorella

1810 hours. Spiritual suggests an individual approach while religious suggests individual and communial approach.

         Post. - Amorella

1822 hours. Does this mean that if two or more people gather together in a spiritual like gathering that they are religious and not spiritual?

If the gathering is for silent prayer and/or meditation only it is spiritual. No theology, no scripture, no doctrine is spoken or alluded to in a spiritual gathering. A spiritual gathering is one of tone – showing a public friendly spirit towards self and others. – Amorella

1833 hours. Enough for now. I have to let this sink in.

         Post. – Amorella

1834 hours. I might have more questions.

Then, that will be another posting. Each step is one for clarity in your heartansoulanmind. – Amorella
