Notes - just like that / dusk and a sunset

Morning. The boys and Paul went on an errand. The house is library quiet. Carol and Kim will be flying home this afternoon, first to Baltimore then to Columbus via Southwest. The photos of the wedding are elegant and well done. You hope all will be very happy as the years go by. Last night during supper on the porch (brats on the grill) Paul called Kim and you all talked and saw each other on the phone – very nice. Everyone hopes for a good flight home. – Amorella

1031 hours. Thank you for the description Amorella. You are much better with words than I am. You wrote me thoughts, which were far more jumbled than the above. You said everything only much better.

You need not worry boy; I will be with you until the end. Life is, just as I am. Don’t forget that my young man. – Amorella

1037 hours. I am reassured – it was only a thought.

I know your thoughts before you do. Amazing, huh? – Amorella

1038 hours. You can bring a smile just like that.

       Post. - Amorella

Mid-afternoon. You had a two-hour nap and missed lunch. A short while ago Paul took the boys fishing at a local township park. You declined for lack of a place to sit but presently you are on the porch under roof with partly cloudy skies and a pleasant breeze coming out of the west. You have an open-faced, peanut butter and jelly sandwich to munch and a cold Coke zero to drink. You are anxious about the girls and hope all is well on their flights. – Amorella

1457 hours. Paul is a wonderful father with the boys and Kim is developing into a great ‘no-nonsense’ and loving mother with the boys. Rules are followed by both parent and thus, by example, by the boys also. All have good memories and can have focused attitudes when playing games or at work. The boys churn the pot a bit when playing or being four and six year old brothers – lots of physical play – running and Star Wars light saber battling – being rambunctious is what we used to call it, but they can say Ma’am and Sir when needed and please and thank you too. It is fun being alive and seeing them progress. Papa is quite pleased.

Why don’t we work on Grandma Twelve, boy, while there is relative quiet.  – Amorella

       1509 hour. Sounds good.

You have all but the ending poem with 665 words. – Amorella

1544 hours. I do. It is beginning to make better sense. – I just got a quick photo of the boys fishing at the dock. Owen and Brennan each caught their first fish. Here is a toast to Owen and to Brennan! Great lads! Cheers! - Papa

Dusk. Kim texted some time ago and they are back in the States. The boys had their baths and once they’ve settled for the night Paul is heading over to his sister’s. Joey and Paul are going to watch a Saturday night fight. You will probably be going to bed shortly. – Amorella

2057 hours. I spent most of the evening on the back porch. After supper we all had s’mores on the deck  – I now remember why I don’t like them – they are too rich with too much marshmallow and too much sugar. I had a good bath and shower, totally cleaned up for re-meeting wife and daughter tonight. All I have left to do is to brush my teeth.
