Mid-afternoon. You were discharged from the ER at Bethesda North about an hour ago; you have been there since nine-thirty this morning. Shortly after breakfast you developed sharper pains near the top of your left hipbone. After a tramodol and a quick bath with no relieve Carol took you to the hospital. You had a shot of morphine and added pain relief then four X-rays (no hairline fractures); the diagnosis is more degenerative arthritis. So, you were sent home with more pain pills to pick up from the pharmacy and a recommendation to set up an appointment with an in house orthopedic doctor.

hours. I’m glad it is nothing worse but the day has not been a bit comfortable.
I tried to take a nap (I am tired) but so far to no avail. Carol is out running
errands and picking up the added pain pills. Jadah has been keeping me good
company upstairs where I am sitting on the black recliner. Time for another try
at a nap.

Carol both had cereal for supper as you watched NBC News, then the parts of ABC
News that differed; then you watched the last episode of last year’s season
seven of “Inspector Lewis” – next Sunday’s episode is the first of the last
year of “Inspector Lewis". It is after dark, and you are ready to go to bed. –

hours. It has not been a comfortable evening physically but the sharper pains have subsided quite a bit. I hope this holds into morning.
